nest & nook and the Little Hands Workout Club Class: As a pediatric speech-language pathologist and mom of two boys (ages 3 and 5), I truly value the importance of early intervention and building a strong foundation of skills for future success. We were introduced to Shannon’s Little Hands Workout Club last spring, and both of my boys—one who receives OT and one who does not—have benefited tremendously. Her activities help develop the hand strength, coordination, and fine motor skills needed for everyday tasks like writing and cutting, making her program a wonderful fit for children with a variety of needs. We were thrilled when Nest and Nook began offering Shannon’s group class! Shannon is absolutely wonderful. Each week, she introduces creative themes and engaging activities, including sensory bins and tongs, the Mr. Munchie ball (a favorite in our house!), scissor work, bottle glue, playdough, hole punching, and so much more. She makes building foundational prewriting and fine motor skills fun and meaningful. My boys love following her program at home, and it has been incredibly helpful to watch Shannon model activities so we can continue supporting these foundational skills outside of class. I especially appreciate that while she incorporates the core skills and strategies from her Little Hands program, she continually introduces new materials, activities, and approaches to keep each lesson fresh, creative, and engaging. She is knowledgeable, passionate, and always happy to share helpful tips and strategies. Her experience and positive energy shine through in every lesson. We are so grateful to nest & nook and for Shannon and this amazing class!
This is the CUTEST place. Perfect for getting work done while the little one plays, or play with them! It has everything you can imagine dress up, building blocks, tonnie figures, pretend doctors office everything. so cute and so comfy! I love it sm
Brought my little ones so I could get some work done and they had a blast! There were other children there for them to play with, other moms that I connected with, and they loved the variety of toys that emphasized imaginative play. They are already asking to go back!
Today was our first time at nest and nook and won’t be our last. The staff was friendly, the space was clean and it’s a great concept it gave me the ability to get some work done while my daughter was able to play and I felt like she was safe. I would highly recommend!
