Moxy - Lower East Side Factory Loft

Racially profiled and a regular customer first and foremost when I got to the front door of the Moxy, security came out one named matthew and the other unknown and asked me why I was there when I came to the entrance. Secondly, there was six white people let in before me and also three white people after me still not being let in I asked security is the Moxy closed? security tells me they’re not letting anybody in because the Moxy hotel is closed its 12:57 as people continue to enter in front of me. I came back to the Moxy for an item mind you , then there are 3 men outside the Moxy eating (All white) I said I didnt want to make this a race thing but you letting everybody in thats white and not asking questions but wont even let me inside the door literally (him blocking the door) he just stood there. As he pages another security guard to the front which solves the issue , they begin to laugh in the front. I give it 0 stars how embarrassing and I will be following up with a call to management .

We had such a great stay at the Moxy NYC Lower East Side! The hotel itself is amazing, and the views from the rooftop bar are absolutely beautiful. The location was one of my favorite parts. It made getting around Manhattan so easy, especially with train stations nearby that can take you pretty much anywhere. You’re also close to so many popular and viral NYC spots you constantly see on TikTok. Little Italy and Chinatown are within walking distance, and even getting over to Brooklyn was only about a 20-minute drive for us with traffic. Overall, this location makes commuting and exploring the city extremely convenient. I will say that the rooms are not insanely spacious, so if you’re traveling with a group, just keep that in mind. However, for a group that isn’t picky about sharing a tighter space, it works perfectly. There were three of us, and since we mainly used the room to rest, get ready, and head back out into the city, it was honestly great for what we needed. We stayed here for my birthday, which made the trip even more special! One thing I would mention is the rooftop bar. If you’re planning on going, there is a possibility that you may have to wait for a while, especially when they have private events going on. It seemed like priority was sometimes given to guests attending those events. In my opinion, the rooftop itself wasn’t necessarily worth a long wait, although the views are definitely beautiful. What really made our stay stand out, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly nice, friendly, welcoming, and attentive. David Saavedra was amazing throughout our stay and went above and beyond to assist us. The bartenders were also wonderful! I truly cannot say enough about how much I appreciated the hospitality here. I will gladly make the Moxy NYC Lower East Side my go-to hotel whenever I’m staying in New York City, and this experience honestly makes me want to stick with Moxy Hotels whenever I get the chance. Overall, a five-star experience and such a memorable birthday stay! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Do NOT stay here. My company recommended this hotel as it’s within walking distance. It’s the third week of September and they are charging over $600+ a night. For that price you get: 1. Street noise, cars honking at any hours into the night. Even on the 6th floor you hear every honk, every ambulance and police. 2. Rooms are small and extra small. No refrigerator unless you ask for one, which I did for my meds. No closet but a few hangers. Rooms are less than 180 feet with two beds. 3. We went out at 10am on a Sunday and came back at 6pm. Did not have our DND sign and yet they didn’t clean the room. Called them and went to their front desk. Answer: please let us know daily and we will ensure your room is cleaned. It’s not $60 a night, it’s over $600+ a night. You would think cleaning the room daily does not need a friendly reminder from your customers. 4. The sink is right next to your bed as they have no room to put it anywhere else. This means whomever gets that bed, get to hear everytime someone is washing their hands at night. I measure sits 12 inches away from the bed. 5. The air conditioning works very well. Keeps the room cool, and you can set the temp. If you put it off auto, you can still adjust the temp but not the fan speed. It’s always on high. So, a three star hotel that charges like it’s 5 stars because they can as it’s NYC. The reception folks are super awesome and amazing. That’s the only good thing.
