I kept being shown FB and Instagram ads to tour and try a free week and at Industrious, a high-end coworking space throughout NYC and the country. It's nicer and more relaxed than a WeWork. Warm, comfortable lighting and very nice furnishings. Light music piped throughout, and some nice amenities. Light breakfast, afternoon snacks, real brewed coffee, teas, Bevi soda water. Even lavender sprays and lotion in restroom. Color printing included. Some guest passes. It's open 24/7, too. And I was told some do come on weekends. _____ One small thing I'll note, the ads all said 'free week' for our NYC locations. On the call, they said, (being a national company), the ad was an error and is only a Day Pass for NYC. That's fine, but they should adjust the NYC ads. Perhaps the Week Pass is for people looking for private offices, so they can try the coworking areas. The other thing I'll note about coworking spaces in general is that your laptop / monitor should be eye-level, lol. And your elbows should rest naturally at your side. So that's an advantage to having your own work desk. It's harder to hunch over all day, like you would at a kitchen table. _______ This location is attached to a building with 7 floors of private offices, most of them start-up size. Warmer feel than most, but the same glass-enclosed smaller to large office areas. They have one wellness room to relax in. All 7 floors of offices and the 3rd fl coworking use one big kitchen / snack area / several dining tables. But every floor has a mini kitchen with little coffee bar and fridge, break table. They're very quiet. Every floor also plays chill elevator-type music, even every bathroom stall. ______ The 3rd fl of Fulton Center is for the coworking and I'm told this has the most light and largest coworking areas in Lower Manhattan. Nice design, and not crowded. I inquired about showers at any locations, and I think that's only in Williamsburg. I wanted FiDi / Lower Manhattan for coworking, was told the Wall St / 25 Broadway location actually gets less light and has less coworking space. 3 WTC is full at this time for the trial pass. ______ Everyone from the initial intake call, for my pass, has been very friendly. Answered all my questions. You pay for one location, and it's a bit pricier than some others, but really nice. You can pay an extra hundred a month to get access to all Industrious locations. They have 1 weekly happy hour with food and drinks on Thursdays at 4pm. At 2pm Mon-Fri, it's grab and go packaged snacks like granola bars and popcorn. _____ A great space and amenities. Not sure I can commit now, but it's a beautiful, pretty exclusive-feeling space. I made a friend too, in just one afternoon sitting in the cafe coworking area.

I came to INDUSTRIOUS for a PRIVATE OFFICE and as a backup if no PRIVATE OFFICE was available, then to see their CO-WORKING LOUNGE setup. The woman who gave me a tour, CASEY WINSLETT, at Fulton Center 200 Broadway, New York, NY 10038 by the World Trade Center, was a bit stuck on herself with a bougie attitude. It appeared as if she does not care too much for Black people. The countenance on her face said it all as she greeted me falsely. No true customer service within her. And it appeared that she was forced to have to show me around which would be part of a job but clearly she had a vibe and demeanor that she did not want to do this because I was black. Once she laid eyes on me when she greeted me you could just feel it. When you experience racism you know it immediately. It's something you don't forget. That type of maltreatment should not exist. INDUSTRIOUS boast in its advertisements that they offer to get one week free to try them out. I was not even offered this from CASEY WINSLETT. AT THE CONCLUSION OF MY TOUR I ALSO ASKED FOR THE RESTROOM AND THE DIRECTION SHE GAVE ME WERE FAR FROM THE FRONT DESK. SHE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO ESCORT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF THE RESTROOM. SUPER POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. This is how INDUSTRIOUS operates? INDUSTRIOUS doesn't mind hiring racist people to work for them? INDUSTRIOUS does not monitor how their employees are doing their jobs until a complaint is lodged? Collectively, there is no system of checks and balances monitored. Very sad. Very very sad. I was so highly offended by this level of racism that a few days later I informed CASEY WINSLETT that I had lodged a complaint with the corporate office. She replied to me to please send her a copy of the complaint. I am no brainiac but it's clearest day that she wanted a copy of the complaint so in corporate would bring this to her attention she can get a story straight to defend herself and excuse herself. I didn't just graduate from Columbia University Law School for nothing! Perhaps this explains why INDUSTRIOUS is rated an "F" by the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

Industrious is the BEST co-working space the Fulton Station office is the BEST Industrious location! It's not overly snobby or cubically feeling. The location is great, there's walkable waterfront in all directions. The host of this location, Justice, is amazing, always happy to assist, and always looking for ways to improve it. If you see me around the space say hi.
