Deborah and Desire did an amazing job with the set up of me and my wife’s wedding and wedding reception. We had to change the wedding to the venue at the last minute as well due to the church not being able to accommodate us and they did an amazing job at that as well. The servers that they hired on our behalf were super helpful with serving food and drinks. Everyone on both sides of the family had lots of fun and they were happy with how the wedding and reception went. I Would highly recommend this place for whatever events you have in mind.

Due to timing and work commitments, we planned a short-fuse wedding with about three months to prepare. From the start, Deborah and Desiree were professional, confident, and immediately sold us on why The Living Room was the right choice for our reception. Their blend of business savvy and creativity made the entire process manageable and stress-free. They were responsive, helpful, and genuinely invested in making the event come together smoothly — even with a tight timeline. The setup and execution were outstanding. We had many moving parts, including food, drinks, liquor, ice, and additional décor delivered at different times, and everything was handled seamlessly. The team managed it all without issue, allowing us to fully enjoy the night. We also opted for additional services — a bartender, two servers, and a photographer — and they were absolutely worth it. Every staff member was professional, attentive, and accommodating to our guests. For constructive feedback, I recommend having a clear event timeline in advance (entrances, food service, cake cutting, etc.), especially for weddings with many components. That was something we could have planned more tightly on our end. I would also recommend this venue for no more than 80 guests. We pushed the limit, and while the reception was a huge success, the space did feel tight at times. That said, this was largely due to our preference for a party-style, non-traditional reception with no assigned seating. We wanted something relaxed and social — more like celebrating at home than a formal hall — and in that regard, The Living Room delivered perfectly. Overall, the reception felt intimate, joyful, and full of energy. Our guests were happy for us and truly had a blast celebrating our special occasion. We highly recommend The Living Room to couples looking for a warm, flexible, and well-run venue, especially those seeking a modern, intimate, and fun reception experience.

I had my 50th birthday celebration at the Living Room, and if I could give the venue 100 stars, I would. One of the owners, Desiree (pictured in between me & my husband) was my contact. I explained to her that I wanted an old school theme and I shared with her pictures of my vision. Desiree truly brought my vision to life and exceeded anything I could have come up with on my own. The venue was set up well, the sound system was perfect, the bathroom was clean- this venue is a gem in the Bronx. Thank you so much to the entire staff of the Living Room for your professionalism, your communication and your attention to detail.

Just celebrated my daughter’s wedding at The Living Room and couldn’t be happier or more satisfied with the venue and the team behind it. They have two spaces and we used the smaller room (The Nook) and it fit up to 30 people perfectly. Deborah was our point person for the event and she was present and available from the beginning and in the days up to the event. Desiree was the first person I spoke with on the phone when I called to ask about availability and she was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and professional in handling all my questions and nervous energy. The venue helped coordinate catering from a local restaurant and the food was delivered on time. The decor that the team prepared was beautiful and helped my daughter and husband feel the class and elegance they were hoping for. I can’t say enough about how pleased we were with the experience. Thank you, Deborah, Desiree, and Jason for starting this business and giving the Bronx a a beautiful and much needed space like this. Wishing you all the success and then some in the years ahead.
