I'm so glad The Commons has a new space in NJ--It is gorgeous and rivals that of their location on the UES. The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to create a comfortable, friendly and professional space.

I've gone to The Commons in NY for years. Knowing the owner and office managers in NY, who also oversee the brand new Parsippany spot, this is great news for anyone in the area. I need to get out of my apartment to work, and the friendly, quiet, clean and proactive setting fostered within The Commons is top notch. You feel that they care...including great snacks, free lunches and bkfasts and holiday food offerings from local restaurants at least twice a month, choc chip cookies every Thursday, and the list goes on - optional activities like book swaps, painting, yoga classes, vase decorating also happen if you care to partake. Love it

The Commons is a wonderful and inspiring place to work. The facilities are top-notch and clean, the staff is attentive and friendly and I love the events that they host. I thoroughly enjoy the days I work at The Commons!

Since The Commons took over this space, it has become much more ECO-friendly, the WiFi works much better, the temperature control is comfortable, and the space is cleaner than it has ever been. Altogether, it has become an even better shared workspace that I enjoy coming to every day

Love the Upper East Side location, great to see that there is now a Jersey option!
181 New Rd has a 24/7 availability that comes with a monthly membership. Hourly and day passes usually only allow for access during regular business hours.
Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with The Commons NYC.
The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.
A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.
It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with The Commons NYC, who is more than happy to help out.
Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Schedule a tour here by filling out the form along with the date and time when you would like to visit the space and we’ll see you there.
