Equal Space is a sharespace and incubator for entrepreneurs, techies, business persons, freelancers, freethinkers, and intellectuals. We are based in the heart of the City of Newark, New Jersey. Founded in early 2015, the space has always been focused on creating a community for great thinkers and leaders to meet up and take action.

We offer several different types of work environments for every type of entrepreneur that steps through our doors. In addition to the workspace, we offer Fiber Optics Internet, which is, to date, the fastest form of broadband technology, unlimited coffee, conference room space, and access to a kitchen area, for those mood-boosting meals entrepreneurs thrive on.

As stated before, we caters to the community, we do this by hosting a variety of events like tech based start up competitions, fireside chats with multi-million dollar entrepreneurs, and conferences with outstanding and highly successful speakers.

Our mission is all about moving forward with bigger and better ideas to help the entrepreneurial community and the community of Newark.

We are creating a nexus between tech and community and showcasing that you can not have one without the other.

2) Please answer the intercom by saying you are here for your multi-media studio booking 3) Once inside, please use the elevator at the end of the hallway to come up to the 4th floor.

4) Upon exiting the elevator, you will be greeted by our Facility Managers, and he/they will be able to provide you with any support you need

Parking details:

You can book a spot via Spot Hero or use the Park Mobile App to find street parking and refill your meter online. I added the links for each option I mentioned as well as a link to the parking website for daily rates, below:

3) Please note, you can only park at the front of our building until 4 pm, your car will be ticketed/towed if it is parked in front of our building past 4 pm.

For street parking, for individuals visiting after 4 pm or during this time, we suggest finding parking near the corner of Market and University or parking near Essex County College [Market Street side].

Yesterday, I received and paid for a day pass for today, July 27th. I confirmed it by email and I was fine. I showed up today at 10:10AM and still did not get an email instruction on how to enter the building. The customer number does not work because there is no one to answer he phone. I dialed from the keypad at the door and still no answer. Why charged people if your website and service are unavailable? This was a very poor experience for me and I will be calling my bank to get a refund .

Very awesome experience, Love the atmosphere loved the studio the energy. The vibe definitely need to come back. Definitely will come back and do it again. Barry and Roc were just very professional and accommodating.

The Equal Space team was very accommodating and responsive throughout the entire planning process for our event. The space is beautiful and can be set up for both formal and informal events. I would definitely continue to book with Equal Space for our future events.

I accidentally came across this beautiful place I walked in meaning to go to the Colombian Consulate and what a beautiful mission and purpose the founder has behind equality! Kudos

The space we used for our event, was super clean, and fit all of us comfortably. The staff were friendly and very accommodating!
