I have decided to stop donating to Women’s Aware because I no longer have confidence in the organization’s leadership. That is a heartbreaking decision because I truly believe in its mission. My interactions with Maria and Philly were so disappointing that they completely changed my view of the organization. I found the leadership to be unprofessional, disorganized, dismissive, and lacking the accountability I expect from a nonprofit that depends on the trust of donors and the community. I left those interactions feeling that my concerns did not matter and that the organization’s leadership was not operating in a way that reflected the values it promotes. As a donor, that was enough for me to walk away. I hope the board of directors takes an honest look at the organization’s leadership and governance. Women’s Aware has an important mission, but strong missions require strong leadership. Until meaningful changes are made, I cannot recommend donating to this organization!!! Do better be better!!!

Awesome family! Great Teamwork! They gave me lots of love, encouragement and support. They gave me back my life and reasons to forge ahead with life, even when I thought it’s all over. They are my family. I can’t love them less. Keep doing the good work.
