I hesitated to leave this review, in case my experience was a one-off. However, at this point I have paid for a day pass at C3 ($20) several times, and have had almost the same experience each time. This is not a friendly co-working space if you're looking to do any sort of work that requires focus. It's almost impossible to focus in this building. Multiple individuals take calls at their desks in the open/shared space, which would not bother me that much if said individuals made any sort of attempt to speak with an inside voice. Alas, they do not. Noise canceling headphones can only do so much. There are privacy booths to take calls as well as conference rooms but they simply aren't used. The pamphlet outlining the day pass procedures and etiquette notes that calls should be taken in a booth or a conference room so as not to distract others, but it seems those rules aren't applied to members. Overall, the vibe that I get is that C3 could not care less about non-members using day passes because they make their money off of members. That's a shame, because I was using the day pass to evaluate whether or not I'd be willing to consider joining as a member and renting a space long term. Spoiler: I will not. If your ideal work environment is a noisy, open floor plan office, this place would probably work well for you.

2 stars I guess, tho it is a nice building and could be a really good space and concept. seems pretty busy. I have been a member of 3 other co-work spaces, including the dreaded Wework (denver) and 2 great spaces (St Pete FLA and DC area). So this is 4th experience. I have never been in a co work space where so many people talk so loudly on their cell phones at their desks, in shared space. Highly disruptive and honestly kind of rude and counter to the entire concept of shared space with respect for co-working class. There are booths, there is outside, there are conf rooms. It is really kind of shocking to observe this. Hoping it resolves and management starts enforcing rules. Pittsboro co-work space called Perch is very strict about this because of the disruption (rudeness) to other workers. (As an aside, the entire place could be laid out better and chairs are dirty and stained....so some basic maintenance and some thought in the concept would be welcome). Not sure I can continue to use but my guess is that management doesnt really care who leaves.

A good coworking space in Hillsborough, and a great option if you are solo and working in the open area! The back areas and offices, feel bit like hospital, lighting, and the upstairs conference room is not super usable given the lighting and noise. John, who manages the office is awesome!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • While storage in coworking spaces is generally limited, and mostly reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices, you should always check with the coworking operator about additional storage solutions. Fill out the form on the right side of the page to reach out to them and learn all about the available options.

  • With a monthly membership, C3 Hillsborough offers 24/7 access to its workspace, allowing you to work at any hour that suits your schedule. Hourly and day passes, however, typically grant access during regular business hours only.

  • Most coworking space amenities are open to all members, regardless of the membership plan. Meeting rooms require prior reservation, and private offices are exclusively available to those with subscription packages. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to everyone. Complimentary amenities are also available to all, while ancillary services can be purchased or negotiated individually with C3 Hillsborough.

  • Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.

For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.

Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.

  • Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.

While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, C3 Hillsborough may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.
