Rad if you’re looking for a focused space to get your head down for a few hours. Probably not the best for a lot of meetings or large-format work (spreadsheets, etc) since they aren’t any monitors. The vibe is perfect, the music is great, the design is phenom, the coffee is tasty, and the people are cool. Definitely a 30s ~remote creative job~ vibe. Street parking is alright, and a lot of them are 2-hr max but can usually find a spot on first attempt.

I was interested in a membership and emailed Switchyards about their facilities for working moms who pump. Received a series of out-of-touch and condescending emails back, with their VP clearly stating that they have no space (and no short-term plan to address this) at any of their locations. Why would I pay for a membership here when I’d just have to drive home or go to my car to pump? This would be so easy to address, so it says a lot that they won’t. Would not recommend Switchyards for anyone looking for inclusive coworking spaces.

Great spot for getting stuff done and drinking lots of coffee. Quiet, affordable, no upsell to a private desk and silliness like that.

I REALLY wanted to love this place and sign up same day! Their marketing leading up to the launch was fantastic but there’s some real issues. First, it has ZERO parking in an already congested area. Second, everything inside is decorated like a messy, 70s frat house (basketballs and all) and every chair in the place is not comfortable. I couldn’t bring any executive clients here with that vibe. Plus they don’t actually want you to stay and work all day from what the staff said. It’s a pop in and out thing. Third, they only have 1 small conference you can reserve for max 6 chairs—again staff said no one can add any additional chair even if you needed to. Positives: it’s open 24/7, has great coffee and natural lighting in the main area. Although, not right for me, if you want a 24/7 coffee shop or can work on your laptop on the one comfy couch in the place, it might be worth $100/mo membership.

Most coworking space amenities are open to all members, regardless of the membership plan. Meeting rooms require prior reservation, and private offices are exclusively available to those with subscription packages. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to everyone. Complimentary amenities are also available to all, while ancillary services can be purchased or negotiated individually with Switchyards.

Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.
While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, Switchyards may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.

The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.
A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.
It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
