I have now been to Blank Space for two events. It is a beautiful space, with a warm and cozy vibe. Literally can be used for anything from a corporate function to a rehearsal dinner to a kids birthday party. Its owners are accommodating and friendly. Really great to have in West AVL.

I'm a West Asheville local and was invited to a holiday gathering at Blank Space. It was warm, cozy and welcoming. Our group has met for a couple of years in bars and this was the first time that we had a private space to connect. The depth and honesty that we were able to share in this beautiful space was markedly different from previous years. I'm grateful it's here and will consider hosting group events of my own there in the future.

Another local here. I think Blank Space is great!! I've been to an event there and it's extremely well-done and executed. It's clean, warm, feels super inclusive, and should be a great spot to bring more event traffic to West Asheville. I've also walked by and seen them host events for local businesses and non-profits. The owner is great. If you're hosting an event, it's absolutely worth considering! RE: some of the posts about local politics: another way to think about it is that Blank Space is part of the sort of development we need to keep Asheville fresh and growing. There are so many vacant buildings on Haywood already. The last thing we need is more of that. We need new stuff. Would it have been great to build a high-rise residential structure to increase housing supply on that property? Absolutely. But it's not zoned for that. Asheville desperately needs new/more housing supply and it needs cool spaces/venues to support the growth. If we want to encourage more small and local business in Asheville, this sort of thing is great for the local economy. If you don't do this one of two things happen: you get Applebees, Chilis, and Cheesecake factory moving in OR you get a mix of vacancies, even higher prices for the existing spots, and stagnation.
Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.
While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, Blank Space may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.
Coworking spaces typically have limited storage options, most of which are reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices. With that said, it’s best to contact the coworking operator directly via the form on the right side of the page to learn about available storage options.
The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.
A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.
It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
Please reach out to Blank Space for more detailed information on membership options and pricing.
Blank Space - 701 Haywood Road operates during regular business hours, which are listed above. For any requests or requirements outside of these hours, please contact the coworking operator directly.
