AVOID INDUSTRIOUS, THIS IS YOUR WARNING You know when you're looking for an apartment and the reviews say DO NOT BOOK, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED THIS PLACE HAS A BAD BUG PROBLEM, and then you sign a lease anyway because everything seems too good to be true. And then you move in and everything in that bad review comes true and now you're stuck in a lease you can't get out of. Well this space is one of those places. I am warning you now. Avoid Industrious.

Beautiful space in in fantastic part of Kansas City but customer service & business ethics are terribly lacking. 1) If you don't manually set your account to auto draft, you'll be charged a $45 fee for manually making the payment, even if it's made before the due date 2) Can't get anyone to answer the phone so it takes days of back-and-forth emails to get anything accomplished 3) Get everything you discuss with the sale rep in writing. I was told that I would get mail notifications. I live over an hour away so don't want to have to drive to check my mailbox 4) I canceled after 5 months of this. I was told there was a 30 days cancelation notice but it's really 30 days plus however many days are in the month you are already in so essentially 2 months - even if the service was never used because the service you signed up for wasn't actually included. It's disappointing to say the least.

I've been in this space for a year now and I love it here! Liz and Cassie are on top of everything all the time. Requests are fulfilled quickly and the space is always clean. The ladies are always cheerful and pleasant. I would recommend this space to anyone that needs space for work or conferences.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.

For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.

Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.

  • While storage in coworking spaces is generally limited, and mostly reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices, you should always check with the coworking operator about additional storage solutions. Fill out the form on the right side of the page to reach out to them and learn all about the available options.

  • Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.

While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, Industrious may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.

  • Whether you're a day pass holder or a monthly member, you can access most amenities. Meeting rooms do require prior scheduling, and private offices are reserved for those with subscriptions. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to all. Complimentary services are also available regardless of membership tier, while ancillary services can be purchased separately or negotiated with Industrious.

  • Industrious - 420 Nichols Road has a 24/7 availability that comes with a monthly membership. Hourly and day passes usually only allow for access during regular business hours.
