This was my first time in Petoskey and before coming I expected to work from the location I was staying. Fast forward to that first Monday there, it rain so that the internet went down. Frantically I was searching for somewhere to go. Normally I would just do a coffee shop but I figured I needed a quieter location because I didn't know how long the internet would be down. North Coast was my saving Grace. Jesse is fantastic and his company provides such a great space to work. The environment is quiet and the internet is great. It is in a perfect location downtown Petoskey. I was able to get in some great walks as well because of the location. I am so appreciative to Jesse and his company for being there. If you are ever in the area and need to set up shop for work and meetings please reach out to North Coast Works.

This is an excellent space for coworking! You can just drop in, there’s a sign on the wall with Venmo and WiFi so it’s incredibly easy. The space is quiet, and there is a meeting room in the back. The desks have great seats, monitors, and charging spots. Plus you can’t beat the location and being able to walk next door to all the lunch options. After trying a few remote work spots around here, this is by far the best option. 👨🏻‍💻

Great place to drop in for a remote workday. Very reasonable price, fast internet, and a quiet environment. If I lived closer to Petoskey, I’d definitely have a membership.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you’re seeking flexible access, the monthly membership at Northcoast Work provides 24/7 access to our workspace. Hourly and day passes, however, are typically limited to regular business hours.

  • Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.

  • Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Reach out here to set up a time to come and see the space.

  • Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.

It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Northcoast Work, who is more than happy to help out.

  • For spontaneous collaboration and interaction, open desks provide an open and flexible environment. If you prefer a dedicated space with shared community elements, dedicated desks offer a great balance between personal space and interaction.

On the other hand, private offices are best suited for focused work and private interactions. They're ideal for solo workers as well as teams seeking a dedicated space, shielded from distractions.

Choosing the ideal coworking arrangement for you is about aligning your workspace with your work style, team dynamics, and project requirements.
