The space was nice, fairly clean and not very crowded. With a lot of space to host dozens of occupants I'm glad there were only a handful of people there. A meeting was being held in the meeting room close to where I was situated and it caused a lot of noise with the door open, but the temperature was hot, so they couldn't shut the door.
The space I had ($30) provided a monitor, mouse and keyboard. I used the Monitor and Keyboard, but the area did lack the proper outlets and USB charging docks to make the space really useable. The less expensive areas that didn't have monitors/keyboard/mouse had plugs on top of the desk, while the more expensive ones had a single plug available underneath the desk. This is a really easy solution and should be fixed to increase the value of the $30 day pass.
When I arrived there was no one to greet me, which was a bit of a miss, but I arranged myself and setup on my own. I was greeted afterwards and was given a tour of the location, which was very nice. Staff was extremely kind and thoughtful.
One issue I did have wasn't with the Bamboo location, rather the security guard for the building. I had never been to this location before so I didn't know I needed to check in, he was pretty rude and confrontational at first, but when I pushed back on him he eased up a bit. I think this first impression was a bit off, but overall it didn't ruin my experience.
The building bathrooms on the 3rd floor where Bamboo is located need their pressure checked. As for the facilities other than the bathroom the space is nice. They offer beverages, which is such a nice touch. At the time of writing this there was ground/drip coffee, assorted teas, matcha powder for green tea and a kegerator filled with nitro coffee from a local roaster.
Overall the experience was good - but it has some opportunities to elevate itself to great!
