Great location and team members

If you're considering Regus, beware. Our experience with their Portland, Maine location has been nothing short of a nightmare. We entered into an agreement based on clear representations by their office manager that conference rooms would be available at no additional cost. Shortly after we signed, Regus unilaterally changed this policy, adding a fee for using these spaces—a material change that directly contradicted our agreement. Despite this bait-and-switch, Regus refused our request to terminate the contract early, holding us to an additional month’s rental obligation we had already paid. This breach of trust has forced us to incur additional costs to find accommodations that meet our original needs. Regus has shown zero accountability for their deceptive practices or for the impact on our business. If you value transparency and integrity, I would strongly advise steering clear of Regus. Their approach to contract changes and disregard for customer trust could end up costing you more than you bargained for—both financially and in terms of wasted time and frustration.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.

A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.

It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Regus.

  • Adaptability is at the core of coworking, so membership options are always designed to cater to your changing work requirements and team dynamics. Most spaces offer month-to-month memberships, enabling you to adjust your workspace to your changing needs. Whether your business is growing or downsizing – or you just want to upgrade to a more private setting – you always have the flexibility to make the changes you need.

While your membership agreement may have specific terms regarding changes, don’t hesitate to reach out to Regus to discuss accommodating your adjustments.

  • Regus - Portland - Congress operates during regular business hours, which are listed above. For any requests or requirements outside of these hours, please contact the coworking operator directly.

  • At Regus - Portland - Congress, Private Offices and Dedicated Desks can be booked on a monthly basis.
