What a great institution! I am taking the 'Entrepreneurial Pathways' program through these folks collaborating with Maine Community College System, and wow, what a valuable course for a new business owner just starting out! They offer course credit AND it's different topics by a wide variety of knowledgeable guest lecturers and specialists each week! I went into the class knowing I needed help with the more 'business oriented' side of my ceramics venture. The class offered a great structure with concrete goals to work on, so I can create a viable business plan step by step and have confidence in the outcomes. I know a lot more about everything from COGS and how to calculate it, to what my target market looks like and how that helps me position my brand. It's also really easy to get in touch with professionals for further one to one advising through MSBB - I got to work with their business advisor for no cost and get tailored support for creating first year projections, knowing my breakeven point, and prioritizing goals! And the networking opportunities are fantastic! It's a great place full of very knowledgeable professionals who are ready and willing to help Maine's small business owners get a leg up!

The MaineStreet Business Building gives me exactly what I need to turn a nice vacation at camp to an amazing summer at camp. Working remotely often requires more than just a good internet connection. I need a professional place to take video calls, I need peace and quiet away from my kids, and I need a little separation between my personal life and my business life. MSBB gives me all this and more. It is staffed by wonderful, accommodating people and provides the flexibility I need to make my time spent down east productive, which lets me live out my dream to spend a lot more time down east!

I’ve had a really great experience with MSBB. The team is kind, helpful, and always willing to work with you. From my first day there, I felt like they actually cared about creating a space where people could do their best work. The building itself is one of the best parts. It’s clean, beautiful, and has everything you need to feel comfortable and focused.
