I rented an office from Oasis Office LLC for two months and left due to HVAC issues that weren’t disclosed in the lease. They later demanded ~$8,500 without showing proof of damages, refused to validate my dispute, and referred me to collections.
Update (Jan 2026): Since my initial review, Oasis Office LLC has continued emailing me about this disputed debt after I formally requested all communication cease. They also sent a “final offer” reducing the alleged balance from ~$8,500 to $2,000 without providing documentation of actual damages.
This reinforces my experience that the company attempted to collect a debt without validation or evidence of loss. Screenshots of emails and offers are available for review.
There response is misleading and omits key facts.
The HVAC limitation was not disclosed in the lease I physically signed and was only communicated after the agreement was executed, which materially impacted my ability to use the office. The lease itself does not state that HVAC would be unavailable during extended hours, nor does it disclose that tenants would be charged additional fees to access basic climate control.
I formally notified Oasis Office in writing of the HVAC issue, was advised the matter was being “worked on,” and later learned the company was instead attempting to create additional paid HVAC programs rather than remedy the issue.
I vacated the office after approximately three months, caused no damage, and the ledger provided reflects no repair or restoration charges—only continued fees for unused future months. Despite this, Oasis Office demanded payment of the full remaining term without providing proof of actual damages or mitigation, and later reduced the claimed balance significantly, which speaks for itself.
After formally disputing the debt and requesting that collection communications cease, I continued to receive invoices and settlement demands. This matter is now documented with consumer protection agencies.
