Shady billing practices, they don’t disclose due dates until after you sign contract. Then they charge you late fees. Also this building is SUPER outdated. Feels like I’m in the 90s! They don’t even have a working printer.

I have been leasing an office at the Regus in Rockville, Maryland, since 2022. The AC system has not worked since I've been here. Last year (2023), the AC system continued to be inoperable, and the office reached temperatures of up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Even at 9pm-10pm, the temperature was at least 90+ degrees Fahrenheit. I emailed Regus to inform them about how the broken AC system was affecting my business. I informed them that my office printer was starting to malfunction due to the heat. The toner and paper were sticking together. I inquired about a potential discount on the lease given that the office is essentially uninhabitable during the summer. In response, they refused to offer any discount and simply provided the option of temporarily relocating. They did not seem to understand that this option is not viable or helpful for tenants. I chose this location specifically for the commute. Relocating to another location is difficult, given that I receive mail from government agencies addressed to the Rockville location. I often have tight deadlines that are mailed out to me, and redirecting clients to another office is not only unprofessional, but it is time-consuming, creating more work for you. Regus continues to use the same excuse they provided in 2022 – that parts to fix the AC system are backed up due to COVID. At this point, three summers later, this excuse is no longer acceptable. I regret extending my lease. Even though I tend to feel cold normally, the heat in this Regus office building is unbearable. They seem unconcerned about tenant complaints regarding the heat and how it affects our ability to work in our offices and meet with clients. Since Regus' higher-ups are located in Europe, it appears they simply don't care about our complaints about the heat and are not taking steps to fix the problem. Today, the temperature reached around 78-76 degrees Fahrenheit, and the building is already heating up. This is the 3rd summer at this office where the AC system has not functioned properly. I will not be recommending Regus to anyone. If you have another option, go with them. The only positive about the location are the staff at the front desk. They are the ones that have to save face for regional and headquarter management.

Overpriced, tiny offices with below-average upkeep. Adding a star because the office staff was very friendly. When we moved in, our office chairs were so dirty that we had to request they switch it out with another office's. The desks weren't set up properly. Even our walls were still damaged from the previous tenant's use. Tons of hidden fees for even the most basic of office services, so make sure you're willing to pay an additional 30%+ on top of your monthly rent for services that should be offered for free. The biggest is the ENORMOUS "restoration fee" cost when you move out of your office, which is Regus's way of gouging more profit from you as you leave. This fee happens regardless of how long you're in the office for (even just 1 month), and it will nearly DOUBLE THE COST of a single month of rent. To make it very clear, the Regus agents/reps will absolutely lie on the phone to you. I was told my restoration fee would be waived since we were on a month-to-month lease and as long as we didn't hang anything on the walls or damage anything. I met my side of the agreement, but when I ended my lease, they told me they don't actually do that and I have to pay the full fee amount. They even agreed that I left the office in the same state that I entered it. I'm disappointed that companies still stoop so low in this day and age. Get any promises in writing. They won't even give you your retainer back unless you manually request it after you end your lease. Yes, you read that right. They keep your retainer unless you request it. If you're still on the fence about leasing here, just google "Regus scam charges".

Regus is probably one of the snakiest companies Iv ever seen. Beware of random and hidden fees. Literally every payment has some type of extra charge, then there’s fees they don’t tell you about. Go to we work or a individual office space. Highly recommend not using Regus
