I joined SHIFT 12 months ago to give me a productive space close to my kids' school so I don't have to drive all the way back home after dropping them off. I have two little ones, 4 and 2, that I bring with me once a week, and I deeply value my mornings here. My children are always joyful after their time in the playroom with Ellie, and I can get so much more accomplished in just a few hours than I would pretty much anywhere else. I count SHIFT as an answer to prayer for a very busy mom. The coworking space is large, clean, well-lit, with plenty of tables plus an inviting couch/sitting area. I appreciate having access to a printer, the bubbly water, and the padded phone booths when I need to make a private phone call. The playroom is just down the hall from the coworking space, and it has lots of windows, plenty of floor length so kids can actually run back and forth. The toys and activity stations are well selected to keep up with kids' desire for variety. They even have paint and aprons, which my two year old loves. Megan has created a space that gives teleworkers freedom from distractions and parents of little ones a major breather.

I have been a member of SHIFT work+play for almost a year, and I am thoroughly impressed with the working space and the amenities. I bring my child to the playroom, and she always has a great time and is well cared for-- which gives me so much peace of mind while I work. The space is always immaculately clean. My business has grown both due to the connections I have made through SHIFT, and because of the time I am able to dedicate to it during typical business hours. We are so grateful for SHIFT!

When I moved to Frederick, I wanted to find a place to meet new people and get out of the house since it is difficult in a new city when you work remotely! I couldn't have been luckier than finding SHIFT - community, childcare, and a beautiful workspace wrapped into one.

Great friendly work environment, especially helpful for parents, the daycare service is perfect to focus on work while keeping kids occupied. Would recommend!

SHIFT is a hidden gem in Frederick for working moms. Megan, the owner, has thought of everything to make it a welcoming space for parents to get work done, network, and have a weight lifted off their shoulders. Little ones have a safe, nurturing space to let their imaginations run wild through play and building relationships with other kids and the phenomenal playroom staff. My almost 4 year old and I have been coming to SHIFT every week since he was 18 months old and couldn't imagine our routine without it. Can't recommend this space enough to working moms! We

However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to all.
