Fun space. I have meetings here weekly and the team is great, the common and private meeting areas are kept clean and well-lit, and it's super accessible from the metro.

Spaces is not a co-working space, it is just a commercial property leasing company masquerading as a co-working space by putting a bicycle and PacMan video game in the lobby! The company is owned by Regus, which is a faceless and soulless global commercial property management company. I had a horrible experience with Spaces. They arbitrarily moved my desk from a traditional co-working space to a cramped office because they found a long term renter for the co-working space and threw me out based on some clause buried in the legal agreement. Ironically the deal fell apart because the new renter was doing direct sales and marketing through the office with a constant flow of customers in and out of the building (complete violation of the their agreement!). We then had a protracted legal battle, which during this time they unilaterally extended my lease (not co-working membership) and increased the price multiple times (almost double), each time without my approval. Renter beware - Spaces has an egregious auto renewal clause in the fine print of the agreement and they will low ball you to sign the agreement and then they will increase the rental price by 25-30% at every chance they get. I moved over to Carr in Friendship Heights and it’s a much better and more honorable company, simple one year monthly membership fee, no auto renewal (just request that the clause be removed).

Great area to work as a small company. Facilities are up to date and offer some great amenities like a free gym, showers, coffee, bike rentals, etc. Raveena (property manager) has been great to work with as our business grows and our needs adjust. Spaces has been very accommodating and quick to respond with facilities requests with everything from access to reservations. The location is extremely convenient, with multiple lunch spots close, access to the Capital Crescent Trail, and proximity to other client spaces as well as the metro. Parking is in-ground, and spaces provides passes for the company. Overall, great spot to start or grow your business, as most of the facilities concerns are managed for you and included in an all-up cost, allowing us to focus on what we care about - building our business.
