At 200 Portland Street, WeWork brings fresh energy to a 1988 building that was carefully renovated in 2017, creating a workspace that feels equal parts refined and easygoing. Spanning four floors, the layout includes private offices, open lounges, and well-appointed meeting rooms, so you can move smoothly from heads-down work to quick team catch-ups. Exposed beams, brick accents, and bright, gallery-style walls set an industrial-chic tone, layered with custom art and a few neon details for extra character. Community pantries, comfortable table seating, and a snug library area help the day feel both productive and genuinely welcoming.

Was not even able to get in because the interecom was broken and the number to call was not picked up. Had to go somewhere else after wasting time getting there

A great, shared office space/ Communal space to get work done, meet with colleagues and be in the North Station area of Boston. Lovely architecture, rooftop deck, kitchenette, and staff.

Probably the worst WeWork in Boston and I've had offices in 3. Constantly out of silverware or mugs, office temperature issues (ranges from extreme cold to extreme heat), randomly closed conference rooms, and unhelpful staff (always on cell phones while at the help desk). Would avoid entirely.

I started WeWork as a trial member to the all-access in May and will be returning as a paying customer. I feel like the community staff from this location played a key role in that. I was in Boston in May for a week for a remote work-cation, and this location's WeWork was definitely one of my highlights! I stayed at the CitizenM hotel and noticed this WeWork location literally right across the street. Upon checking in, Dessiah was super sweet and friendly and welcomed me to the property and gave me a tour around the property. One highlight that I recall is that as Dessiah left at the end of the day (I work late), she stopped by to thank me again for trying out the WeWork and provided me with a WeWork swag bag full of goods. (I've been rocking the WeWork mask and bottle all over the East Coast since). She's also introduced me to the community manager Danielle who's also just as friendly. Danielle that evening gave me a ton of suggestions for my then upcoming NYC trip, with recommendations for places and things to do there as well as even in Boston! I can tell Danielle's a total Brooklyn gal! A wholesome moment I witnessed while working from a hotseat is that Danielle wished and gave Julia (new mother) a nice gift and a bouquet flowers for mothers day. I've started becoming a regular for the 7 days I was there, Julia who is also a community lead there does an amazing job organizing events, always providing a friendly greeting when visiting, and casual chats during lunch hour. Julia has also given me many suggestions on places to do in Boston along with volunteering to try the camp food chili I had! One of the other days I came in, the common areas were a little packed which I didn't mind at all, and Dessiah approached me as I was one of the latest patrons (I started around 11am), and offered to get me a private office space for one! Little did I know how much more productive I was within my own little fish tank. I was so grateful and thanked Dessiah later that afternoon. The morning after, Julia has greeted me by name and said that the same office is available for me if I would like it, and of course I agreed! One last perk that I took advantage of while I was there, is that the CitizenM hotel were super strict about covid rules, and were unable to accommodate my request to store my luggage for a few hours. That being an hour away, I've stopped by the WeWork that Saturday and lugged my belongings hidden in a booth at the WeWork, what a deal! If I were to provide feedback to this location specifically, I guess a set of lockers would be useful, (I was only wary about security because I myself was on a free trial, but looks like trials are no longer a thing, which is better for security!) Thank you so much to the friendly staff at the WeWork totally brightened up a solo work-cation stay in Boston. For what it's worth, I did not ask for any special treatment, I basically entered with a smile which ended up being reciprocated with amazing hospitality, swag bag, private office offers and an amazing WeWork experience! Thank you again, Dessiah, Julia and Danielle!

It’s just office space, not a new paradigm

Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.
For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.
Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.
