We hosted a group of 15 people here for a day and a half mastermind meeting. The entire process from signing agreement to executed event was seamless. Thank you to Jacques for the on-going communication. Our attendees were impressed with the space, food, and service (breakfast was my favorite - the grits were SO good!). All of the staff was super friendly and helpful. Gavin was especially a great help. He was very personable and made sure everything was running smooth and we were happy with everything. The venue and everything was priced reasonably. I would definitely host a meeting here again!

I have been to Common House several times via invite and have been underwhelmed in a different way every time. My first red flag was the disappointment that was the Super Bowl party. One would assume that of all events, something as major as a Super Bowl watch party in the city hosting the event would be fun and memorable. Instead, the guests were served what appeared to be leftovers, cold food and small portions/not enough for everybody. At one point they served some kind of cookie shot cup with no alcohol or drink at all. Just a dry, stale cookie cup thing. Also, maybe have more than a few dozen chicken wings and limp celery sticks for a hundred guests. Things happen. Events are fumbled but that isn't the deal breaker. I have returned to Common House several times since the Super Bowl and each visit has had one thing in common. Poor service and attentiveness are the only consistent offering here. At the restaurant and bars, you are essentially on your own. The restaurant charges you 20% additional fee on top of what seemed to be a decent deal when ordering. The food was good and worth the listed menu price. $14 for a burger and $6 for fries is reasonable pricing especially considering the atmosphere. What is not reasonable is charging a flat 20% at the end of your meal without word from the server and only some heads up in the fine print at the bottom of the menu. Who reads that? Shouldn't that be some word from the servers to inform diners? No "Have you dined with us before?" Are you supposed to also tip at the end? Does this mean that you're expected to pay 20% service fee (who knows how that is "distributed" to the staff) and then an additional 20% tip to the server? Is the expectation that I am paying 40% on top of my bill the norm here? Over $30 each for two people at lunch is insanity. Make it make sense... All of that being said maybe I would not have such a problem with the "house fee" as they call it if the service were actually good or passable. My time dining in the restaurant got to the point where I felt I was being held against my will because I couldn't even find a server to ask for my check. The bartenders and cocktail servers seem like they are just set loose with little training. They are not engaging nor do they provide even amateur level service. Chic-Fil-A hires teenagers that do a better job. Why are staff members just congregating behind the bar and eating in full view of guests? The last thing I want to see is somebody eating, not washing their hands and going to serve drinks/food to others. Common House seems to me like an out of place concept from out of towners that does not connect with what New Orleans is about. I feel bad for members that pay a monthly fee so they can be taken advantage of at every transaction. This place is not for locals. You're better off going to a coffee shop or Library. Edit: That is a lovely ChatGPT response to a genuine review. However, with exception of the Super Bowl party, each of my 4 visits that I am referencing were within the last 3 months. Additionally, you did not provide an actual chance to connect directly to further discuss my concerns. Maybe ChatGPT didn't have your contact information to include. Have a blessed day!

While at common house this evening with a dear friend of mine we were treated so rudely by the event manager Jade, she is extremely unprofessional and rude and does not need to be in any type of management at all... The common house can do better with hiring their staff and training their management... Jade needs to be let go from her position and find a job more accommodating to her personality and her skill set, she is not an asset to this company.... After hearing so many great things about this place it was nothing more than a great big disappointment and let down due to their management... MAJOR FAIL.
