Fort Thomas Coffee is much larger than it looks from the outside and has a really welcoming atmosphere. There are plenty of seating options whether you're meeting a friend, working remotely, studying, or just enjoying a quiet cup of coffee. The layout makes the space feel open and comfortable, and even though there were a lot of people during our visit, I never felt like we were sitting right next to another group. They have traditional tables, lounge seating, bar seating, a children's playhouse, outdoor seating in both the front and on the side of the building, and even a private room that's great for business meetings or small gatherings. The staff was genuinely friendly from start to finish. Everyone we interacted with was welcoming, and the service made us feel like they were happy we were there. I ordered a London Fog tea latte, and it was one of my favorite London Fogs I've had. It's a simple drink, but it's surprisingly easy to get wrong. This one had a great balance of Earl Grey, vanilla, and steamed milk, and I actually preferred it over the one I usually get at Starbucks. The menu offers much more than coffee. While some of the food selections change throughout the year, they have breakfast, lunch, pastries, grab and go snacks, and a variety of drinks, so there's something whether you're stopping in for a quick coffee or staying awhile. One thing I especially appreciated was the merchandise. As someone who loves browsing gift shops, I thought they had a nice start with mugs, coffee beans, tea, bourbon, and apparel. I'd honestly love to see them expand it even more because I think people would absolutely buy additional Fort Thomas Coffee merchandise. Overall, Fort Thomas Coffee feels like more than just a coffee shop. It's the kind of place where you can spend a few minutes grabbing a drink or settle in for a couple of hours. If you're looking for a place to catch up with friends, get some work done, host a casual meeting, or simply enjoy a good cup of coffee in a comfortable space, Fort Thomas Coffee is well worth a visit.
