Electric Works is one of the most impressive places in Fort Wayne. It’s honestly one of those places where photos don’t fully do it justice. You really have to go down there, walk around, and experience the campus for yourself. It’s more than just a place to grab food. It feels like a sprawling restored campus with history, energy, and plenty of room to explore. The brick buildings, big windows, open walkways, signs, and public spaces all make it feel like a true destination. Union Street Market is a great centerpiece with multiple food options, seating, and a clean, modern layout. I grabbed a salad while I was there and it was fresh and well put together. What stood out to me most was how open and inviting the whole place feels. There are places to sit, plug in your electronics, get some work done, meet someone, or just walk around and take in the space. If you do creative work, this is the kind of environment that can actually help you feel inspired. Parking was easy too. There’s a paid lot with a gate, and there’s also street parking nearby with meters, so it doesn’t feel difficult to access. I also really appreciate that places like PrayerWorks are part of the campus. I’ll review that separately, but it adds to the overall feeling that Electric Works is more than a development. It feels like a place built for community, creativity, work, food, and connection. Electric Works is absolutely worth visiting, even if you’re just walking through to see what they’ve done with the space. It’s one of those places that helps Fort Wayne stand out.

Really bummed. It was closed for a private event which you couldn't possibly know about until you actually got there.. has gone downhill over the last couple of years.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.

It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Electric Works Coworking, who is more than happy to help out.

  • Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.

For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.

Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.

  • Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Reach out here to set up a time to come and see the space.

  • Most coworking space amenities are open to all members, regardless of the membership plan. Meeting rooms require prior reservation, and private offices are exclusively available to those with subscription packages. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to everyone. Complimentary amenities are also available to all, while ancillary services can be purchased or negotiated individually with Electric Works Coworking.

  • Electric Works Coworking - Building 19 has a 24/7 availability that comes with a monthly membership. Hourly and day passes usually only allow for access during regular business hours.
