I give it 2 stars for the quality and cleanliness of the spaces. However, it's dead inside. It's just so sad that the city gave the developers tens of millions of dollars for this complex. It's not working for small businesses or start ups. The food vendors are lack luster and expensive.
Our university planned a day in downtown Fort Wayne and Electric Works absolutely rolled out the red carpet! Kelly was so easy to work with and collaborative. She made the partnership seamless and the students had such a great time at EW. We will definitely be hosting an event with them again in the future!
It looks like a dead zone! There’s only a couple businesses open. Every time I come here, you can tell that they’re struggling, keeping the little stores open. It kind of sad
The big building is the old General Electric compound. The market area is a disaster. When they opened, they were almost completely full of businesses that sold meats, fruits and vegetables, honey and trinkets, half of the area is now completely empty. There may be 1 or 2 businesses left from the original opening 3 years ago. If anybody out there is interested in showing these idiots how to run a space, please contact them. They obviously have no clue. What a waste of a great idea. So many other cities have made this work. It's a shame that a city like Fort Wayne can not have a decent marketplace.
I just love it here it is so relaxing and quiet and friendly that I've been coming here every day just to get away from the way the world is. It is also pet friendly and I have a dog who is 13 years old and she also enjoys the relaxing in the quiet so keep it up glad you're here electric works
