- During the summer, the AC was broken for 4-6 weeks and there was no offer to reduce rent, provide fans or portable AC and the communication was non-existent. The indoor temperature during that period surpassed 80 most days, rendering the office unhabitable. We spent $1000 on tower fans which they had no interested in reimbursing. They ended up offering $2000 to be used for meeting rooms & office day vouchers as a credit, a pretty useless gesture as it couldn't be used towards rent. - We had decided the best thing for our business was to find a new home and swallow paying double rent for a couple of months. After we had relocated to a new office, I received an email asking if they could pop our remaining stuff in storage so that a new tenant could move in during the final month of our agreement. I asked whether they'd refund the final month of the agreement to which they said no, thus confirming this was a one sided ploy to get double rent for a month and reconfirming their complete inflexibility. On visiting the space to pick up some of our belongings, I discovered they'd completely reorganized the space and moved our stuff around with 0 consent. Feels pretty morally/ ethically skewed. - Something will always be broken here and everything takes ages to get fixed. In a year of being there, we saw the AC completely out of commission, toilets broken, leaks in the ceiling, blocked sinks in the kitchen, broken coffee machines, broken dishwashers, etc etc. - In exchanging emails with management (John), he frequently just chose to ignore emails and demonstrated nothing but inflexibility and that he simply did not give care. I've got 6 emails where I was just following up. A very poor reflection of the Spaces/ Regus brand. The only redeeming qualities are the local team (Yoami & Tom) were very friendly and tried to help. If you're looking for office space in Chicago, choose anywhere else. Pay more and get something you can actually use and be proud of - Do not associate this place with your employer brand.

Signing up for business address for a year with them was a big mistake. Because due to circumstances out of my control I had to close business and moved to another state, but they still required me to pay. I did not receive any mail other than maybe a couple times a month in the first month or two. But to them it didn’t matter. Plus sometimes they ignore calls if a person calls them often. It’s better to go through your own personal mail even for businesses. Because businesses like this one are very careless about reasons you don’t need their services anymore and they will make you pay for the whole 12 month period of time.

Edit to add- when we left they didnt return our $1800 deposit. Has been a positive experience for our small business so far. Good service and fast responses to emails. Very satisfied with the location as well.
