I’ve been going to the River North location for the last almost 5 years and there have been a handful of community managers in that time, no one held a candle to Mallory and I say that wholeheartedly. She was beyond the best one and it wasn’t even close.

I enjoy visiting my colleagues at this location. Nice lounge to chat with coffee and teas. Easy to commute to via the Purple and Brown Lines, and two train stops north from the Loop. Quiet, more residential neighborhood, feels safe.

I had to book an AirBnB nearby due to renovations at my place and the rental was way too noisy to get any work done. This place was so convenient and accomodating for the time I needed and not to mention the staff was so attentive and helpful, Mallory was so welcoming on the first day! This spot is definitely a top contender.

I had a great time working remotely here. Even though I wasn’t working on actual work and instead watching funny YouTube videos, I still felt like I was being productive because of everyone around me that was working hard. Mal was really nice when I asked if I could just watch funny YouTube videos and not do real work here, so I’ll definitely come back once I have real work to do too.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.

While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, Expansive may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.

  • Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.

  • Whether you need a short-term workspace solution or something more permanent, Expansive Superior has you covered. Conference Room 6s and Huddle Rooms are available by the hour. But you can book Expansive Coworking Lounges and Conference Room 6s for an entire day. Additionally, Expansive Private Office for 1-2s, Expansive Private Office for 3-4s and Expansive Private Office for 5-6s can be booked on a monthly basis.

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Expansive.

  • The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.

A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.

It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
