We held a funeral service at Hatch 41, and I was deeply disappointed by how the situation was handled. We had more attendees than expected and simply needed a few extra chairs that were already on-site. Instead of allowing us to use them, we were told we had to call the owner for approval. This forced the grieving family to delay the service just to get permission to seat everyone. I understand it’s a business, but this showed a real lack of compassion. We even stepped in to help set up the chairs. It’s incredibly poor taste to prioritize policy or profit over basic empathy in a moment like that. Very disappointing experience.
