Belange Handmade LLC

Feb 18 2026

I had a very disappointing and stressful experience with Regus at the Johnston, Iowa location, and I want other small business owners to be aware of how their renewal and termination process actually works. On September 9, 2025, Regus emailed me a renewal reminder stating that my agreement would automatically renew starting January 1, 2026, and gave me the option to choose a different term. I responded the same day and clearly requested a 6 month renewal because my I was considering shutting down. I never agreed to a 12 month or 24 month term. After that, I followed up multiple times in November and December 2025 asking whether my agreement had been renewed, because I was planning to close my business and did not want to continue the service. I did not receive clear confirmation. Instead, on December 9, 2025, Regus told me that my account had already auto renewed for a 12 month term, even though they acknowledged in writing that I had requested only a 6 month term. I was told that mistake would be corrected but that NEVER happened. Shortly after, I officially dissolved my business and provided Regus with my Certificate of Withdrawal and dissolution confirmation from the Secretary of State showing that my company was no longer operating. When I logged into my Regus account, I discovered that my agreement was now showing a 24 month auto renewing contract, which I never requested, never signed, and never agreed to. This was extremely alarming. I immediately contacted Regus again and requested termination based on the dissolution of my business. I also visited the office in person to try to resolve the issue. I was told the person handling my case was not available, and staff could not provide me with direct contact information. After that, I sent repeated follow up emails on December 19, December 22, January 8, January 14, and January 28 asking for updates. While not addressing my problem, they continue to charge me even though my business is now shut down. For weeks, I received either no response or vague responses saying there was “no update,” while I was worried about being billed for a business that no longer exists. This entire situation caused unnecessary stress during an already difficult time when I was closing my company. I was proactive, transparent, and cooperative from the beginning. I communicated early, provided official documentation, and followed every step requested of me. Despite this, my agreement was renewed under terms I never agreed to, and terminating the contract became extremely difficult. Based on this experience, I strongly advise any small business owner to be very careful before signing with Regus. Their auto renewal system and termination process can be extremely rigid and confusing, and resolving issues can take months. I would not use Regus again.

Friendly staff, quiet rooms, great amenities. Like the fact that the offices have their own thermostat so you can control how warm/cold you want the room.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.

It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Regus, who is more than happy to help out.

  • Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.

For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.

Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.

  • While storage in coworking spaces is generally limited, and mostly reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices, you should always check with the coworking operator about additional storage solutions. Fill out the form on the right side of the page to reach out to them and learn all about the available options.

  • At Regus - Foxboro Square, Dedicated Desks can be booked on a monthly basis.

  • Whether you're a day pass holder or a monthly member, you can access most amenities. Meeting rooms do require prior scheduling, and private offices are reserved for those with subscriptions. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to all. Complimentary services are also available regardless of membership tier, while ancillary services can be purchased separately or negotiated with Regus.
