I lived here for two years while going to grad school and I had a great experience. Lived in the 758 building in a one bedroom with my partner and we never had any issues with neighbors or management. Tim would always answer emails promptly and anytime we had something break they sent someone in the next business day to fix (microwave broke and they replaced it next day). I would totally recommend this place if you're looking for an apartment in Coralville/Iowa City area!

I lived here for a year and I wish it would have been longer! I have nothing but great things to say about this building, and the management. Tim was super helpful and chill. It's quiet, clean, and affordable. Definitely recommend in comparison to a lot of places in the Iowa City / Coralville area. Especially for young professionals!

Tim was our landlord and was amazing to us. He always responded in a good manner and helped us out a lot. We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath apartment and could not have asked for a better place. We had no issues living here and really enjoyed it! Would definitely recommend and have recommended to my friends!

Management here is the problem…I moved into a one bedroom which wasn’t cleaned, 4 light bulbs out, a broken toilet seat, hole in the floor… when I asked them to fix and clean they refused unless I pay (lightbulb replacement is $50). I was so upset with them since renting here is expensive, then they were petty with me the rest of the year since I called them out. They’ve also sent people into my apartment without notifying me. I have images and screenshots of all the pathetic responses I’ve gotten. The apartment overall isn’t bad but I would definitely stay away from from these man-child “landlords”

My partner and I moved into the 758 Building in this complex when it first opened in 2018. We had just moved out of NYC after living there since 2011. And let me tell you, the experience between property management in NYC and 808 on 5th is night and day. Tim is fantastic, helpful, and quick to respond. We only had to put in two maintenance requests our whole time here, and they were both dealt with the next day. And Management followed up to make sure we were happy. That NEVER happened in NYC. Our apartment in 758 is great. The Heat/AC does the job in the coldest of winters and hottest of summers. And the apartment is well insulated so that the Heat/AC doesn't always have to be running for you to be comfortable. The building is also very quiet. They hallways are cleaned weekly, and the lobby is cleaned and mopped weekly. Cable and Internet (300mb/s) is included in the rent (never had that before!), and as an avid gamer I had no issues with lag or latency. My husband could stream movies, while I played PS5 with no dropped frames. My partner and I both work remotely as well, and had no issues with the internet during our workdays. The appliances include an electric stove, oven, microwave, and and the biggest fridge I have ever had in an apartment. Also the kitchen has plenty of storage. Seriously, so many cabinets! There is also an in-unit washer/dryer. Which is a god-send after dealing with NYC laundry mats. There is also a dishwasher and garbage disposal. After handwashing dishes for years in NYC, I almost cried with joy to have a dishwasher again. The water pressure in the shower is great, and the hot water heater is quick and powerful enough for two people to take hot showers back to back. Also the hot water heater and furnace is accessible from the hallway, so maintenance never needs to enter the unit. Air filters are changed regularly. We lived in a one bedroom. Our queen sized bed fit just fine with more than enough room for my partner to also keep his work desk in the bedroom. To be honest you could easily fit a king sized bed and still feel like there's a lot of room. There's a walk in closet, with upper and lower racks to hang clothes, and the washer/dryer are kept in there. Two peoples worth of clothes can fit with no issue. We have a parking space inside the garage, which is kept warm in the winter. If one is available, I suggest you take it, because it is so nice to not have to scrape ice off the car, or feel like you're going to melt getting into a hot car in summer. All the doors are locked, and there are security cameras everywhere. I have no worries about my packages waiting for me at my door. The Neighborhood is great. There's a nearby bike path just two blocks away. Hy-vee is close by, and there are some great local places to eat. Also there is a gym in the 808 building that offers discounts for the complex residents, and is open 24/7. Also every summer there is a block party right out front of the complex on 5th street! There are food trucks, music, drinks, and activities for kids. I highly suggest you check this place out and take a tour! We were sad that we had to move away to another state, because we could have easily seen ourselves staying here for many many more years.
