Very disappointing experience with Lawrenceville Gas Utility Billing Team.
I tried to pay my gas bill on their official website, but the payment option wasn’t working due to a technical issue. When I called their office, the representative told me the bill was already paid, but later I found out that the payment was returned because of a system error between their system and the bank.
As a result, they added a $30 penalty, increasing my bill from $41 to $71, which is completely unfair since the problem was caused by their system, not me. I called their billing line three times, but no one could clearly explain how my future payments would be processed or how to fix the issue.
Very poor customer service, lack of accountability, and confusing communication. I hope they improve their website and billing process so other customers don’t go through this kind of frustration.
