Fantastic. Great community of folks, fast wifi, delicious coffee, open 24/7, cleaned and refreshed like 3 or 4 times per day, little upgrades constantly being made. The ambiance is a sort of "private club feel" with "cozy" lighting from loads of lamps, where leather, zines, plants abound. Not too hot, not too cold (thermostat set to 72°), which I especially appreciate. If you want icy cold, bright overhead lights, corporate office feel, this is definitely not for you. NOTE! A lot of folks have misunderstood the parking situation. On the entrance side, there are a handful of spaces and some street parking; it gets crowded. But, the complex of which Switchyard is a part has loads of proper parking, including dedicated ADA parking and an easy-access ramp. I uploaded a photo; check it out!

I like that idea. Upon arrival, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of quiet spaces within a great community and maintain your privacy. You can experience all of this in different clubs around Atlanta at any time, with effective and flexible communication. Switchyards is a fantastic choice.

Great experience.

This is the second newest recent club I've explored out of the 4 so far. Favorites: 1)..The Deep Focus room is off in the back with a door and is like a vacuum sealed, hyperbolic time chamber of zen, serenity and coziness but not too cozy. The door completely shuts this space off from the general area and really embodies the separation and solitude of the room's intention. Not to mention the awesome orange/yellow glow of the lighting. 2)..The seating is perfect for those of us who are solo and aren't supposed to occupy bigger 4 seaters (when it's crowded). There are plenty of 2 seaters delicately placed all over the venue featuring different angle, styles of lighting, window facing and chair level to match you mood and vibe. Want to be in the open? Sure! Want to be tucked off in a corner? Sure! Want to be close to your group of colleagues who you aren't necessarily working with "with" Sure! Oh and let's not forget EVERY table station is placed by at least 2 outlets and a USB port. (My favorite is the high-top set up right adjacent to the Deep Focus Room, best view in the house). 3)..The outside seating aspect of this club is stellar, love the wrap around porch for privacy if you want to catch your breath in solitude. 4) This club is large enough to the point that even if 6-7 different working groups are here, there is still room for everyone to be spaced out, and enjoy their own atmosphere and vibe. 5)..The bookable meeting room has every basic necessity that a group of college students, start-up business partners, teachers, etc. would need to walk-in, sit down with coffee, brainstorm a bit, present information, and maybe even come to some conclusions during their work session. The clear dry-erase board is a nice touch. Favorite-Not's 1)..This is the ONLY reason that I didn't give a full 5 stars, because it could possibly impact the experience and zen so seriously depending...But a Club Keep here (I will not give any descriptors) could use a revisit to whatever training protocol they undergo before hitting the floor. SY is a unique kind of place and therefore can't, rather shouldn't have run-of-the-mill Keeps that in general exude a disdain as if they'd rather not be there, don't respect the fact that EVERYONE, not just them, are trying to work and in general be more mindful to the personal space of the members and their items while they're working. Ex: Slamming cabinets, making excessively large amounts of noise to do simple tasks, spraying chemical cleaner almost inches away from open drinks or members' bodies, touching and removing items from places before inquiring whose they are to surrounding folk. I understand their role likely has it's tidbits that aren't the best as ALL jobs do, but we SY'ers are chill people and the Club Keeps could at best pretend to not seem unapproachable angry and disrespectful. Serious turn off for the Avondale location.
Switchyards Avondale Estates has a 24/7 availability that comes with a monthly membership. Hourly and day passes usually only allow for access during regular business hours.
Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Switchyards.
The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.
A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.
It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Switchyards, who is more than happy to help out.
Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Reach out here to set up a time to come and see the space.
