*1 Star – Extremely frustrating experience getting my retainer back** I moved out of my Regus office after my agreement ended and submitted the Return of Retainer request with my current bank information. My account was fully reconciled and had a zero dollar balance. Regus initially confirmed that my retainer refund had been processed and would be sent by ACH to my current bank account. I was also told that September 9 was the latest date I should expect to receive the funds. When the money did not arrive, I followed up. I was then told by another Regus representative that the refund had supposedly been processed to an old credit card that had been closed for months. I contacted my bank, and they confirmed that there had indeed been an attempted payment around August 12, but it was **rejected/returned and never credited to me**. My bank opened an investigation and began working to determine where the funds were returned and whether they could be rerouted. Regus has now acknowledged in writing that the August 12 payment was rejected and has reprocessed the refund. However, instead of releasing the funds immediately to the bank account I provided, Regus says Finance has assigned the reprocessed refund a **value date of October 2, 2026**. They have acknowledged that they can request an earlier/urgent payment run, but there is no guarantee it will happen. In other words, after the original refund failed, I am now being told that I may have to wait weeks for Regus's next payment run to receive **thousands of dollars that belong to me**. This is particularly frustrating because the delay was not caused by me. I completed the required refund process, provided my current banking information, and had no outstanding balance. The original payment failed, and I am now being asked to wait for Regus's internal payment schedule to correct the problem. I have requested that Regus make an immediate exception and send the funds by bank wire rather than continue holding them until a future payment run. I am willing to update this review if Regus resolves the matter promptly. But as of this review, I am still waiting for my money and have had to involve my bank and repeatedly escalate with Regus simply to obtain a retainer refund after closing my account. **This has been an unnecessarily difficult and frustrating experience.** **They then have the audacity to hide behind online reviews to reply instead of calling me directly. The standard refund time (contractual) is 30 days. My request for refund was submitted with my bank account information on August 4th, Today is September 16th. The math, and lies, are clear.
