Fast Office - 39 Northeast 1st Avenue

I am sharing my full experience so others can make an informed decision. On 11/14, I signed a lease with Fast Office. On 11/18, I sent $350 toward my security deposit via Zelle. Because I do not have Zelle, my sister sent the payment on my behalf, which Yessica was aware of at the time. On 11/29, I sent the remaining $330, again via my sister’s Zelle account, bringing the total deposit to $680. Before moving into the space, I spent time reconsidering my business needs and decided I wanted to lease a larger storefront space instead, as Fast Office does not offer storefront locations. On 1/26/26, I reached out to Yessica via WhatsApp asking that if I chose not to move forward with the lease, would I be able to receive my security deposit back. I did not receive a response. On 1/27/26, I followed up and sent a screenshot of the contract section indicating that I could receive my deposit back under the terms outlined. After that message, Yessica asked to call me. During that phone conversation, she asked what was “holding me back.” I explained that I was exploring larger spaces and would confirm by Friday whether I found another location. She responded “okay.” On 1/29/26, I texted her confirming that I would be moving forward with a different space. I received no response. On 2/2/26, I followed up again requesting that my deposit be returned via Zelle to my sister’s account (the same account used to send the funds). I was then told to contact “management.” I later learned that Fast Office leases through the building’s management company, which made this confusing, as my deposit payments were sent directly to Yessica. On 2/4/26, I received only half of my deposit back. I immediately asked about the remaining balance. I was told that because I sent the deposit in two separate payments, it would be returned in two separate payments, and that I should expect the remaining half within 7–10 business days. On that same day, I also received a voicemail stating that they were unable to find the Zelle payment under my business name, despite the fact that Yessica had known from the beginning that my sister sent the deposit on my behalf. The 7–10 business day timeframe has now passed. On 2/16, I followed up again requesting the remaining balance of my deposit. I have not received a response. At no point did I move into the space. This experience has involved repeated follow-ups, inconsistent communication, and unnecessary confusion regarding funds that were paid in full. I strongly encourage anyone considering leasing here to clarify refund policies in writing and ensure all financial procedures are clearly documented before sending payment.
