Where do I begin? I am so grateful for Stephanie McElveen’s brilliant vision in developing the Build Your Business From Scratch program offered through Women at Werk! From end-to-end, the program was well-structured, included informative speakers from successful local businesses across industries, and nicely complemented the Bank of America Women's Entrepreneurship Program. The six-week Saturday sessions elevated the learnings in the BOA curriculum taught by Cornell University. Further, it gave participants the opportunity to share resources, learn from each other, get insights on products, and a safe space to be vulnerable. The in-person meeting was truly necessary to gain more value from the Cornell curriculum. Stephanie’s generosity is unmatched. She truly understands the needs of business owners in the early stages of growth. With that in mind, Stephanie was kind enough to organize a photography session, and she also hosted an Art Walk vendor event to further promote our businesses and make sales. The networking opportunities with other business owners was very supportive on my journey. I am very grateful to Stephanie, Women at Werk, and Bank of America for allowing me/N’sentials to participate in this amazing program.

I had the amazing opportunity to complete the Build your Business from Scratch program through Women at Werk. I initially figured I was too busy or not far enough in my journey to attend but I am so thankful I was able to be apart of this unique opportunity. As an aspiring woman entrepreneur, the entrepreneurship journey can be so daunting, lonely yet rewarding. Through this experience, I was able to be transparent about where I am in my journey and receive valuable insight and tools to move forward from amazing speakers in our community, Bank of America and fellow women entrepreneurs. I was able to connect with women with different ideas, backgrounds and experience in entrepreneurship that will be long-term relationships. I would recommend the cohort or any upcoming events with Women at Werk, you will not leave without feeling empowered. Give yourself the time and opportunity to invest in yourself. I'm happy I did! Thank you Women at Werk and Bank of America for the opportunity.

I sincerely enjoyed participating in the Women at Werk Build Your Business from Scratch experience! I learned so much. On top of that, I developed relationships with some phenomenal women on the program. I can genuinely say I gained the skills and resources needed to take my business, Scoops of Favor to the next level thanks to this program.
