Buckle up folks. If I could give 0 stars, I would. We hired Britt, owner of The Space Between and The Anti Bride (now permanently closed) in January of 2024. She appeared to be friendly and cared about our wedding. In our first meeting we enthusiastically agreed to trust her to plan the wedding of our dreams, and booked her for planning and florals, putting down a deposit of $3,569. We then noticed problems shortly thereafter as Britt would barely write any notes down during our planning meetings, never uploaded anything to our google drive file, and was hard to reach over text and email. By June, we only had secured a photographer and a bartender. We had no details for our wedding, and every time we asked if we could receive information, she made up excuses and then didn't send us anything. She even told us that we would pay the invoice for the DJ through her, a $1,290 deposit, which we paid June 10th. Britt assured us she was in contact with everyone we needed and that everything would be great. In September, we asked for more information, and that led to her getting nervous and cancelling meetings on us. I personally emailed the DJ, who said he hadn't heard from Britt since the day she reached out to see if he was available, and not only had he not been booked, that deposit never reached him! He had no idea he was supposed to be booked for our wedding. When we confronted Britt in September about this, she did not deny any of this, instead assuring us that she would return our money to us. After weeks of bothering her through email and text, we finally received a dissolution agreement stating that in 7 business days, we would receive our money back. Both us and Britt signed the agreement, and we waited the 7 business days patiently. Every time we contacted her since the 7 business days were up, she had excuse after excuse made up of why the money hadn't returned to our account yet. She even claims that the money has left her account, but we still have not received it. It is now December 9th, 3 months since we have fired Britt for her lack of professionalism, and we still do not have our money. We are going forward with involving lawyers and taking her to court. We hope to spare anyone else the pain of having their wedding ruined.
