I have leased my Washington, D.C. office through OSI Offices for over a decade, and their team has earned every one of these five stars many times over. But last week they did something genuinely extraordinary. A major U.S. bank overnighted an eight-figure cashier's check made out to my firm to my OSI office address — except the bank had truncated the payee to just "Law Offices of," with the rest of my firm's name cut off. OSI hosts hundreds of D.C. law firms, and nearly all of them are "Law Offices of" something. There was no way to tell from the envelope who the check was for. Most professional office-services companies in that position would have taken the safe, no-liability path and simply handed the FedEx envelope back to the driver marked "return to sender." That single decision would have delayed my client's access to funds by a week or more, at a time when every day mattered. OSI's COO, Mumbi Thande, and two of her front-desk colleagues did the harder and correct thing. They opened the envelope, saw the scale of what was inside, immediately recognized this could not be allowed to sit or be returned unread, and called me right away. Within an hour I was on-site with a bank officer helping me deposit the check into my firm's trust account. That is not "good service." That is judgment, initiative, and professional care of the kind you almost never see in a shared-office environment. Mumbi and her team treated my clients' funds as if they were their own, made the correct call under genuine uncertainty, and moved fast. I had an extremely positive experience with a multi day office rental. The office manager was extremely professional, prompt, inviting to work with, hospitable, and efficient. Prior to this rental, I contacted different offices. I went with OSI because her style really stood out to me and provided security in the whole process. This was important to me because while I previously worked in DC, I was currently booking the rental from a distance after relocating. The office itself was very nicely appointed and spacious for single use. My clients felt extremely comfortable in the setting. There was a very professionally laid out waiting room, a useful front desk notification system, and the front staff were very polite and professional too. It is at a convenient location. I was extremely impressed and pleased.
