Founded in 2012, Open Gov Hub is a coworking space created to bridge the gap between different sectors and organizations by encouraging shared work and collaboration to tackle challenges among different skill sets. Accordingly, the range of professionals working here — such as researchers, data analysts, communicators, technologists, lawyers and journalists — are all committed to driving positive change in their various fields and specialties.
Located in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C., Open Gov Hub offers a newly built, custom corner suite with abundant sunlight and a private patio. Specifically, the space spans 5,000 square feet and provides versatile conference and event areas for all needs. Membership options at this workspace include virtual office services, hot desk memberships for flexible workers, and dedicated desk memberships that come with convenient daily storage solutions. The various workspace options also provide height-adjustable desks, automatic standing desks, lockable cabinets at each desk and several call rooms for private conversations.
Meanwhile, the building itself grants 24/7 access to members, thereby allowing them to work when they feel most productive. Additionally, conference rooms accommodating between four and 40 individuals are available with writable walls or marker boards. The building also provides an event space that can host up to 100 attendees. Furthermore, alcohol and catering are permitted for events, and essential A/V equipment, built-in speakers and microphones are provided in the main event space. Likewise, other amenities — like high-speed internet, a private rooftop patio and wellness rooms — help enhance the work experience.
What’s more, Open Gov Hub's prime location places it within walking distance of iconic monuments. For instance, the newly renovated Franklin Square Park is just a block away and offers a refreshing spot to relax during or after work hours. Similarly, essential services — such as FedEx, a post office and UPS — are within two blocks. A wide array of quick eats, bars, restaurants, hotels, a CVS and a grocery store are also all accessible within walking distance. Finally, the location is also incredible for commuters as the space is a mere three blocks from McPherson Square Metro, five blocks from the Convention Center Metro, 10 minutes from Union Station and a 20-minute drive from DCA Airport.
