After living in Steamboat for 10 years and watching this place open a few years ago, I finally decided to try it. I'm a mid-thirties remote professional and hoped to work from the space but wanted to ask a few questions before deciding on a membership, punch card or drop in. I arrived a few minutes after 8am, the posted open time, and the door was locked. There was no signage detailing how to proceed. I called their listed phone number on Google and got no answer. I went around the side of the building to see if there was another door and only saw a river shop. I went back to the door to peer inside again and someone working at a table got up to let me in. There was no staff or information available. The person who let me in then proceeded to sit in the common area and yell to the person he was meeting with on his computer at length. Without headphones. I was basically in their meeting with them. I believe this space has meeting rooms, and it seems like common courtesy to use headphones at the very least. Unfortunately, there was no staff to ensure a decent working environment. I certainly won't pay to work in that environment. There were two hightop tables next to each other with comfortable seating, the rest of the tables had uncomfortable wooden benches. You can guess where the yelling person was sitting. Additionally, the hours being listed on Google as 8am-3pm for a $35 drop-in is absurd. Not sure about others, but I typically work a full day and expect to be able to do so if I'm paying for a co-working space. Before arriving, I researched their options and saw 24/7 access for members advertised. It reads as if that benefit is not available without a membership. I was unable to reach any staff to answer that particular question, along with others I had. Hope this review helps others understand the vibe. The 5-star rating on Google is sus, just read any of the reviews talking about the co-working facet of this business and they clearly read like sponsored ads. The focus of this business appears to be as a venue for weddings and events.

Came here to cowork for the week while in Steamboat. Great vibe, super easy to find quiet spots for meetings, really nice group of people.

My nonprofit hosted a fundraiser at this event and it went so smoothly. John, the owner, was extremely helpful both in terms of preparing for the event and being on site to help with set up and break down. The space is spacious, versatile, with a touch of elegance that makes it cozy and inviting. The AV equipment and projector worked well and the sound was great. I really can't overstate what a great space this was for our crowd of ~70.

My wife and I hosted our after-wedding brunch the Sunday after our wedding. This was an AMAZING space to host an event like this. Tim did a fantastic job making the space usable for our 150+ guests, coordinating with local catering, and ensuring the event went smoothly. It is a modular and customizable space that is easy and convenient to host events. I could not recommend more highly working with Tim and Steamboat Social Club!
