I can't say enough good things about the resources available at the ICELab. For business owners looking to connect with other members of the valley, they organize monthly meetings over coffee and other ways to make introductions. Clear Skies is lucky to hold a premium office with awesome internet connectivity. The atmosphere in the open work area is conducive to high levels of productivity. There is even the Coffee Lab downstairs with great coffee and a quick bite. This is a great place to work and the ICELab consistently brings value to the Gunnison Valley.

Worth every penny for an entrepreneur. The rent is a good deal. The internet is fast and reliable. 24-7 access. The kitchen is clean and convenient. The resources and relationships a business owner needs are at our fingertips here. When I have a problem, the staff work to solve it. I'd try to think of a negative thing to say about them, but I'm worried they might cut off my free kombucha supply.

I worked from here for a couple of weeks this summer. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the space was as advertised. I thought it was a very convenient place to work, at a bargain price too. I highly recommend ICELab.

A good old opinionated review from a long time user… Oh the IceLab! I’ve been frequenting this place for over 3 years including watching the construction process as a Freshaman up to renting an office as a 5th year senior. Interesting vibe, I rented an office here for over 6 months. The managers are helpful yet it seems you have to really create or highlight value in their lives to get what you need or any help. Know where your money is going. The amazing Mac computers memory storage were full and Adobe couldn’t be used while I was there making work difficult to accomplish (check out Western Library). Also it was hard because the recording studio was privately owned for a while then an office moved right next door, making recording next to someone’s office undesireable and off limits having to pass a private office to use public space… check out KWSB Western collegiate radio stations studios if you want a legit welcoming recording experience. I was a student, this space used to be Western’s property (climbing wall & hangout) yet students are sparsely there except during the daytime to study, yet networking or social development between students is not common. Coffee with Coworkers is a good time to reflect and empathize, yet nobody truely helped me out as an upcoming entrepreneur. Everyone kept to themselves or their favored friends (cliques) Kitchen is barely used, offices were barely used when I was there it just seems like a place for people like myself who can’t afford office space in town yet crave a social setting. I hope management reads this and can develop a more catered and caring environment where they go out of their way to make this people, especially Western students feel welcome! If you want your money’s worth, make sure to study downstairs @ the CoffeeLab where you are always welcome and the staff is awesome! Maybe this is your vibe and the IceLab is for you, there is a lot of potential here… maybe I just had a bad experience or two but it’s those experiences that drove me to write this long review… someone’s gotta do it. Just please bring more students into the space they used to use (located between the freshman dorms yet very few freshman know if it’s presence). PSA: Also make sure they know you moved out of an office or they will charge you for time you weren’t present a the IceLab or using the amenities. They also hiked prices without warning yet did explain why after I asked why a higher rate was being charged. Peace and Love - DJ DDD

Frequently Asked Questions

  • At ICELab, Meeting Rooms can be booked by the hour. For those looking for a workspace for an entire day, Day Passs and Meeting Rooms are also available.

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with ICELab @ Western.

  • Storage in coworking spaces can be limited, with most of it reserved for members with dedicated desks and private offices. However, you can reach out to the coworking operator using the form on the right side of the page to see what options are currently available.

  • Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.

It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with ICELab @ Western, who is more than happy to help out.

  • The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.

A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.

It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.
