I've been a member of Groundfloor for a few years now. I have spent significant time at the San Francisco and Oakland location & just visited San Rafael for the first time last week. I have not been to LA (yet!). The spaces are all well designed, comfortable, friendly, pretty, and similarly appointed tho SF is by far the biggest. Our small nonprofit team meets in SF here once a week and it has been a powerful way to collaborate and meet since we closed our offices in the pandemic. As a work amenity it's been great. The social components have been awesome for some folks who made many friends and connections beyond work, joining the game-board club and other various art classes here and there. Also, being able to access the space 24/7 is another excellent amenity. The price can't be beat for anything similar in SF. We've also rented the space for certain events as well. It's mostly quiet... in SF the main space can get a bit boisterous and the small meeting rooms are not well ventilated nor ideal for longer than 30-60 minutes. Booking phone booths or meeting rooms is fine 24 hours out or more but day of can be scarce. These are small inconveniences given we are here but once a week and the point is less about small meeting spaces and more about connectivity. The people here have all been nice folks -- I've never met anyone that was disruptive or unpleasant. I'd definitely recommend GF as an alternative to the isolating monotony of day in and out wfh. For some it's even more than that too -- a true social & networking outlet. PS -- the owners are both generous and kind souls that make a true effort at community. Their vibes definitely make the whole place vibe.
Unfortunately sells “community” for a price tag that doesn’t make sense given the market rate. Money isn’t the main issue here. It’s the lack of transparency of what they claim to portray themselves on social media. It’s a co working living room like space, which is super cool but the community aspect is not really accurate. It’s there if you want to create it but not a lot of people do even when they make the effort to. Lack of communication. It’s also usually really crowded. Left a bad taste on my mouth despite the initial good impression.
For the past month, i've noticed cockroaches all over the building and in the office spaces. Would not recommend.
This is a sanctuary in San Francisco. It truly feels like our second living room. Being able to have a quiet space to work, to invite friends over, and even host events is such a gift. Folks I've met at Groundfloor have been warm and welcoming. I'm so glad Groundfloor moved into my neighborhood!
It doesn't feel like any other coworking space I've been to before. It feels more like a living room / office full of friends. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great work environment with a splash of social life.

Meeting rooms require prior reservation, and private offices are exclusively available to those with subscription packages. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to everyone. Complimentary amenities are also available to all, while ancillary services can be purchased or negotiated individually with Groundfloor.
Absolutely. Flexibility is one of the best parts of coworking. Most coworking memberships are month-to-month, so you can quickly adjust your space preferences according to your unique requirements and the size of your team. Whether that means upgrading the space or downsizing it or even completely changing the type of coworking subscription that you use, you always have the option to adjust as you go.
It may be possible to adjust your membership before current membership ends, but you will have to discuss and negotiate directly with Groundfloor, who is more than happy to help out.
