I've been a SOMACENTRAL customer for over 5 years. Here at JobScore we operate a small, profitable software company with core of people in San Francisco and a decent sized remote workforce. Most of us are more experienced folks with years of industry experience. Candidly, we want to go to work at a place that is about getting work done. There are no flipping scooters. There's no craft cold brew. There's no hipster wardrobe. The people are friendly and the vibe is mostly about GSD. Ef wework. Wewin. If you are a grown up looking for a well-priced by-the-desk spot for your smaller company - this is the spot. It's class A office space, there's views and none of the BS you get with with other "perk oriented" co-working facilities and networks. You are just as likely to hear / interact with people actually selling / supporting customers / doing business here rather than living in a 100% cone of silence. Somacentral is the spot for business people who want a sweet place to work and get their team together in San Francisco, and has been so over a decade. The alumni of this place are also a who's who of friggin unicorn companies including twilio, instagram and many more. If that's the kind of culture you'd like to create, guess where you should be?

SOMAcentral is a perfect balance of co-working hipness and low key chill. The location is perfect - close to BART, the Ferry Building and lots of parking. The design is great, the spaces comfortable, the furnishings excellent. We rent a private office - we've got great views. And when we need a conference room, we can always grab one...or reserve it ahead of time. It's never a problem. The kitchen is really handy, too. Finally, the pricing is fair. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience in the coworking space at SOMA for 1 year. The team was supportive and flexible to adapt to our startup's changing needs. The location is ideal, and the atmosphere in the office was great- and quiet! So you can actually get work done effectively..

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Most, if not all, amenities are available to you as a member, regardless of the type of membership. Some shared spaces, like the meeting rooms, need to be booked in advance and private offices are only available for those with a subscription. However, all the other areas, like the lounge, kitchen and breakout spaces, are usable by every member. All complimentary services are available and anything ancillary can be purchased or negotiated with Somacentral.

  • The open desk is the way to go if you’re looking for a flexible workspace in an open environment where you can socialize with other members. Or, choose a dedicated desk if you want a designated space that also allows you to keep in touch with the community.

A private office works wonders if you or your team need a quiet, secluded space to conduct your work and interact with people in your organization.

It’s important to understand the different types of coworking arrangements available to you, depending on the type of work that you do and its duration, and whether you’re a solo worker or part of a team.

  • Coworking spaces typically have limited storage options, most of which are reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices. With that said, it’s best to contact the coworking operator directly via the form on the right side of the page to learn about available storage options.

  • Yes, you can certainly take a tour of the space before signing up for a membership. In fact, it’s encouraged, to help you get a feel for what your workday will look like. Schedule a tour here by filling out the form along with the date and time when you would like to visit the space and we’ll see you there.

  • If you’re seeking flexible access, the monthly membership at Somacentral - 353 Sacramento Street provides 24/7 access to our workspace. Hourly and day passes, however, are typically limited to regular business hours.
