My wife and I loved 4210 The Strand. Very Roomy, sunsets in the front deck hot tub were fantastic. And for and Airbnb the beds/pillows were super comfy. Be very careful pulling through the alley into the designated parking spot - you want to position your car so coming straight at Alley from Sea View, do not try to turn into the alley from right or left, but that is the only caveat to this top flight beac front Airbnb. Highly recommended.
Our stay at Orange Door Stays was generally fine, although the experience could have been more guest-friendly, particularly when it came to flexibility and expectations. We had requested an early check-in, which unfortunately could not be accommodated. We understood and respected their policy. However, checkout was also set at 10 AM, which felt rather early, especially for travelers with later flights. What I found somewhat disappointing was the contrast between the strict adherence to their own policies and the additional requests made of guests upon departure. These included certain housekeeping tasks that, while presented as optional, still placed additional expectations on guests. To be clear, we complied with their requests and left the property as instructed, despite not receiving the same degree of flexibility when we made our own request. I fully appreciate that hosts have policies and operational requirements. However, hospitality should ideally involve a reasonable balance of expectations, consideration, and mutual courtesy. When guests are expected to go the extra mile, it would be nice to experience a similar willingness from the host, even if accommodation is not always possible. Overall, the stay served its purpose, but the experience felt more transactional than welcoming. A little more flexibility, or at least a more guest-centered approach, would have made a meaningful difference.
The loft was amazing. So conveniently located to shops and venues. We’d definitely stay here again.
