I was a tenant at Workspace for about a year. At first it was amazing. The front desk staff was bubbly, friendly, and professional. The space was clean, the kitchen was stocked, and the vibe was young professional.. key word: professional. There were some things that frustrated me, such as routinely throwing away food that I had in the collaborative fridge, food that was often less than 1-2 days old. This was because of the overly strict policies of the owner's wife. Not only was I frustrated, but the front desk staff were equally stressed out and frustrated by this situation within itself. Then the front desk staff left and they were replaced by the owner's wife. This is when things really started to go downhill and fast. There were no more smiles or greetings upon entering the 2nd floor. The vibe turned cold and sterile. The kitchen dishes slowly disappeared and they did not replace them. They brought in lower level clientele and within a short period of time I could smell pot in the building. The cleanliness of the space declined as well. A therapist complained about the smell as well. Can you imagine being a therapist and being next to an office that smokes pot? How terrible that must have been for her clients. The front desk staff said they would do something, but I could still smell pot the night I vacated my suite. Additionally, I gave 2 checks for the months of March and April. I specifically wrote notes on the checks not to put April through until April 1 as I had relocated out of state, continuing to operate my business from Workspace. They put the check through anyway and it caused all kinds of issues. I thought my April payment was made, after this blunder, and received a call from my employee that she had been locked out of my suite. She was standing there with a client and could not get in. I lost an entire day's worth of work because they refused to let us in the office until the payment was made. It was within a few days of rent being due. The stress this caused me was overwhelming. Because I was out of state getting the funds to them in a cashier's check same day was impossible. They had no compassion, empathy, or grace. This was the beginning of the end. When I came home for a work visit, I could see how much the place had declined in the six months I had been gone. Thankfully they terminated my lease early after numerous complaints of the decline in service, cleanliness, and members. This was over 2 years ago. I have since moved to another collaborative space and for the same price I receive three times the benefits. The space is more luxurious, they provide breakfast and snacks, soft drinks, coffee and creamers, and a flavored water machine with flat or sparkling. I will be at the new place until I am ready to buy a building. Workspace was the most unprofessionally run organization once the owner's wife took over. I hope things have changed since then. Her personality was deplorable, her customer service skills lacking for a professional office space, and I still get angry when I think about how much stress her management caused in my business. Oh.. my business also declined while I was there. After we moved, my clients let me know how unhappy they were at Workspace. We are now at Industrious off Jamboree and 405. Their pricing is competitive with three times the amenities. If you are looking for white glove service, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Industrious not only treats me like gold, they treat my clients like gold and I have leveled up my business in the new space.

Sadly, I was not able to lock in an agreement with WorkSpace because the nature of my work needs to be very quiet with no music being played in the halls. WorkSpace is a lot more modern with calm music being played in the halls, unlike very traditional cubicle-styled office workspaces that are dead quiet. Though it wasn't really loud and told to be turned off after 5 PM every day, I didn't want to wait until 5 PM to begin my work every time (I need to record for work) which was the only reason why I didn’t go with WorkSpace. However, if that wasn't an issue for me, I would've definitely signed right away as the place is so amazing. I toured about 7 different co-working places in the area during the week and WorkSpace was my number 1 pick cause of the environment, vibe, aesthetics, affordable price & plans, and services provided. One of my favorite things was the private gated garage they offer. It's an additional $100 for a reserved spot in a private gated garage but it also comes with 2 Tesla chargers. 

This was super important to me because I work late hours and I didn't want to walk out to an open parking space late at night so the gated parking structure would’ve made me feel much safer. Plus, you wouldn't even need to walk out of the garage to get to the entrance since there's an elevator that takes you straight up to the office. I also have an EV vehicle so having chargers sounded convenient too. (they even said it's free so you won’t pay for the charge.) Most of all, the two lovely ladies at the front desk, Clare and Nicole, really helped me and answered ALL the questions I had. I feel so bad that I can’t go with WorkSpace but I still wanted to leave a review for their amazing service even when I wasn’t a member of their community. Just shows how much greater they’d be to you if you are part of WorkSpace! If in the future, my work does not involve recording anymore, I hope I get the chance to work at WorkSpace! But for now, I will have to go to a traditional cubicle-styled office for the silence. Definitely not excited about that type of environment but it’s unfortunately what I need for my type of work at the moment. All in all, 10/10 recommend WorkSpace, and thank you to Clare and Nicole for all your help!
