Common Room Coworking was founded in 2025 from a desire to see local professionals doing what they love, together. Our founder saw that Benicia and Vallejo were full of brilliant entrepreneurs and remote workers, and she wanted to create a space focused on bringing people out of the isolation of home and into the community that we all deserve.

Our highest priority is ensuring that every person who walks through our doors feels welcome, safe, and professionally supported. We offer a level of personalization and genuine connection that corporate chains simply can’t replicate.

By bringing more professionals to downtown Benicia, we’re doing more than providing desks—we’re energizing the local economy and creating a vibrant professional hub right in the heart of downtown.

Love this thoughtful space. I primarily work from home and like the novelty of working from Common Room (plus it's great when my home power or internet unexpectedly go out). I love the different spots to work from within the space, you aren't tied to a desk - I perch in the kitchen, take calls from the patio, or lounge in a comfy chair when I need to do some thinking. Decor is cute and everyone is friendly.

This was a great place to hold a meeting! Central to everything downtown so when we wanted lunch we had plenty of options. Rachel was amazing and helped me every step of the way and answered all my questions!

Have been a member in this beautiful space for a few months now and am very happy! Great space for creativity and focused work time. Love the ability to book phone and conference rooms via app-super simple. Great desk setup with keyboards, multiple screens, mouse and sit/stand desks. Never had an issue with not having space but also never empty! I also have my business address and mailbox services here. 10/10 recommend!

Common Room is a gem in Benicia and the neighboring cities. It’s well-designed, well-lit, and easy to settle into, whether you need a place for deep work or a more welcoming community feel. The wifi is reliable, the standing desks are a great bonus, and the space is always clean and well-maintained. The location is right by Benicia downtown so it’s very convenient, and overall, it’s a great value for those who mostly work at home or have a hybrid situation! Been here since it opened and highly recommend!

The space is conveniently located in downtown Benicia. The owner is extremely nice. Great ergonomic desks and chairs. Very easy to use the app access the facility and to book meeting spaces. Appreciate the free coffee and water. Love the kitchenette. Many restaurants nearby. Would highly recommend.
