THINK TWICE!!!
I had an extremely disappointing experience leasing office space here for my medical business.
Before signing the lease, I made it very clear to Taylor, who was managing leases at the time, that I do not live in Alaska and would be traveling back and forth. Because of that, I specifically asked whether I would have reliable access to the building after hours and on weekends, since those were essential requirements for my business. Taylor repeatedly assured me that this would not be a problem.
Unfortunately, those assurances were not true.
After signing the lease, it took two full months just to get my keys. On top of that, I was charged an additional fee for a building fob so I could access the office after hours and on weekends. During those two months, I repeatedly tried to coordinate key pickup, but Taylor continually told me she only worked until 5 PM and was unavailable on weekends—despite already knowing my travel limitations.
Eventually, I had a friend pick up my keys and fob for me. But when I finally attempted to access the building, the fob did not work at all, meaning I still could not enter the building or even see the office I had leased.
I made multiple calls and sent texts to Taylor for help, and she did not respond.
Due to the ongoing lack of access, poor communication, and complete failure to accommodate the needs that were clearly discussed before signing, I decided to cancel the lease.
What made this even worse was that Taylor’s supervisor later emailed me and stated that Taylor should have been available to provide access at any time and should have assisted me when I was unable to enter the building. That directly contradicted everything Taylor had told me for months.
To add insult to injury, even after giving proper 30-day notice, I never received my security deposit back.
This entire experience was frustrating, costly, and incredibly unprofessional. I cannot recommend leasing here, especially if you need reliable communication or flexible building access.
