Superb place and facility. Hidden gem for now as they just started this model and I was initially reluctant to leave this review as it might mean harder to book in future but it might also mean with low regular mass, they will drop this model so here is a glowing review for them. Location: Superb location. Ya Kun is literally beside and Maxwell food center is just beside the unit. The metro station? It’s like 10 steps away just beside. Opposite across the street is Chinatown complex where the famous Michelin soya sauce chicken rice is. Host: The owner/manager of this place is very easy and accommodating and nice to chat with. Friendly and great personality. Quoted me for long term which still sounds quite reasonable to me actually considering it’s in town area. Pricing: I am regular at another joint in the east but they get too overbooked nowadays and their set up gets abused by other users. For this place, the pricing is quite reasonable and even better if take their bundle package. The great thing is it allows 24 hour access if I have late business meetings with US without worries of getting chased out if the facility close for the day. It’s good enough that I was tempted to take the five days package straightaway but didn’t want to hoard the room if other users want to use it. If they grow more popular, I believe their pricing can easily rise. Facilities: room is spacious, quite a bit of room to manoeuvre and quite clean. I can see that they ensure to do clean up regularly. I was able to work comfortably with two laptops. The air conditioning is individually controlled which is better as some other place is centrally controlled and you can’t adjust if too cold or hot. There are two shower facilities and both are clean and nice to use if you need a shower from going to gym. Good arrangement of furniture with a nice pantry and necessities to have a quick meal. Two washing machines as well conveniently located. Essentially this is modeled like a hostel so it has better facilities than the other one I go to. Perhaps they are testing if it’s better business to operate as private office or pure hostel lodging or a hybrid. There are many common space offices nowadays but very few offering totally private office with doors. Likely because it’s hard to maintain and if you have unsavory guests messing up the room or abusing shared areas, it cost much for the cleaning. Common space areas have less likehood of this happening as everyone can see you. However I think there is growing demand because many mnc office (like mine) do not have private rooms for even directors anymore, it’s all mobile desk open concept. Wework allows cubicles but totally glass walls and many other private offices charge a high premium. Almost all of them do not offer 24 hour access as challenging to monitor. Will strongly recommend this place and hope they have more rooms open up in future if the business model can substain the monthly rent for a shophouse in this area (which should be quite pricy)
