A quite UNusual hotel and a very happy surprise: the hotel of the future with fantastic interior design applying concepts of circular economy and zero-CO2 footprint from state-of-the-art Auping beds to The Good Roll in the toilet. Highly recommended to young and old alike.

We had a wonderful stay at The Usual! The hotel has a warm, inviting decor, and the room was spotlessly clean with a fantastic bed. The location is truly superb: you can easily walk onto Witte de Withstraat or into the city center. The breakfast was delicious (great pastries and a variety of eggs), although it was a shame that only filter coffee was available and the staff seemed a bit curt. However, the convenient luggage lockers after checkout made our stay worry-free. Highly recommended!

My family, ranging from teens to grandparents, had three rooms — two with queen beds, and one triple — for a couple of nights. We loved our stay! The rooms were super clean and comfortable, with small, thoughtful touches like the motion-activated (dim) lights that come on when you get up to go to the restroom at night. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the social spaces — it was cool to see locals hanging out and working alongside folks staying at the hotel. Definitely made us feel more connected to the city. And the location was great. We walked easily to the Markthal and Roterdam Centraal (train station). The breakfast, while not inexpensive, was good and very convenient the one morning we took advantage of it. We will definitely stay here again if we're in Rotterdam!
