The Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam is the national museum and institute for architecture, design, and digital culture. The institute demonstrates the power of new (design) ideas. The goal is to imagine, experiment, and put into practice a better future by collectively reflecting on ideas from the past, present, and future. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions, share their thoughts, and thus make their own contributions. The exhibitions, research, events, and other initiatives that the institute develops at home and abroad form a testing ground. Leading designers, thinkers, and diverse audiences collaborate there on a critical approach to current issues. Museum Park Closed on Mondays Open on other days from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Have brunch at the cafe and get free admission with the museum cart. A must-see for architecture majors. You can also visit the Sonnefeld House. There is an architecture library on the upper floor, which is very useful.
