Management Deception, Bed Bug Infestation, and Unsafe Living Conditions for a Long-Term Guest. As a long-term guest (3+ months), my stay at The Social Hub Amsterdam West was defined by shocking negligence and a deliberate cover-up from management. I strongly urge everyone to book elsewhere. The Bed Bug Cover-Up and Dishonesty: The ultimate failure began when the hotel was alerted to a bed bug issue next door, yet their inspection of my room was clearly insufficient. Weeks later, I found a bed bug in my own bed (with photographic evidence). The hotel then admitted in writing that the inspection was inadequate, as they failed to check behind the headboards. & housekeeping could not enter my room nor did they offer to relocate me to another room. They knowingly left me in an unhygienic, unsafe environment . The front desk manager initially made a promise to provide compensation to resolve the issue, but management subsequently switched up on their word. They denied any negligence, offered a minuscule "gesture of goodwill," and falsely claimed "no trace of bed bugs was found." This is a pattern of deliberate deception to avoid accountability. Damage Control, Not Customer Service: Their constant, formulaic replies to reviews on here are not genuine customer service; they are pure damage control, designed to cover up their negligence and miscarriage of responsibility rather than tell the full version of events. My poor experience was compounded by overall facility issues: Minimal Housekeeping: Service occurred only once a week, often limited to changing sheets and towels, which was totally insufficient for proper hygiene. Facility Congestion: Elevators were constantly congested and difficult to use because poor staff had to haul carts full of equipment. Poor Security: Non-guests routinely used the gym and public facilities without any staff intervention. Run-Down Areas: Parts of the building's interior were visibly neglected. This hotel prioritizes profit over guest safety and transparency. Stay elsewhere unless you want to leave with bedbugs as I have.

ROOMS HAVE BED BUGS AND MANAGEMENT TRIES TO COVER IT UP. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT BED BUGS IN YOUR BELONGINGS. MANAGEMENT KNOWINGLY PLACES GUESTS IN ROOMS THAT HAVE TRACES OF INFESTATION. LOOK AT ALL THE BAD REVIEWS HERE AND OBSERVE HOW THEY TRY TO JUSTIFY AND DECEIVE. THEY DO THIS TO COVER UP THEIR BLATANT NEGLIGENCE IN THEIR RESPONSES. STAY ELSEWHERE!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.

For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.

Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.

  • While storage in coworking spaces is generally limited, and mostly reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices, you should always check with the coworking operator about additional storage solutions. Fill out the form on the right side of the page to reach out to them and learn all about the available options.

  • Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.

While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, The Social Hub may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.

  • With a monthly membership, Van de Sande Bakhuijzenstraat 4 offers 24/7 access to its workspace, allowing you to work at any hour that suits your schedule. Hourly and day passes, however, typically grant access during regular business hours only.

  • At Van de Sande Bakhuijzenstraat 4, those looking for a workspace for an entire day, Day Passs are available. Additionally, Coworking Memberships and Dedicated Desks can be booked on a monthly basis.
