Went on 20th nov 2025 looking for Space of BTS and was highly disappointed. They are given a small corner with absolutely negligible merch, for an international Army it was a representative of how poorly BTS is being positioned in their own country.

It was good

It's so big! It seems like the building is divided into three parts, so you'll end up walking around everywhere unless you check where the store you want is located.

The customer service staff have a poor attitude! They are indifferent!

I would like to share the extremely disappointing experience I had during my first trip to Korea. On the evening of the 13th of this month, I visited The Shinsegae Duty Free Store in Myeongdong to purchase a Montblanc pen case. Since duty-free items in Korea must be collected at the airport after departure, I followed the instructions given by the Montblanc staff during the purchase. As a fan of Montblanc pens, I had already chosen the model I wanted before my trip. Being a first-time visitor to Korea, I simply followed the staff’s guidance when placing the order. The staff informed me that I would collect the item at the airport upon departure, and that it would be delivered directly to the airport. I was departing from Incheon Terminal 2 on the night of the 15th, taking the 11:15 p.m. flight back to Singapore. However, when I went to collect the item at the airport, I was told that the staff had mistakenly entered my departure date as the 16th, so the item had not been delivered to the airport. As I was about to depart, the Shinsegae duty-free staff informed me that Montblanc had already closed for the day, and they would need to contact them the next day. I provided my email and phone number, then returned to Singapore. Today, I received an email saying they had just received my item at Incheon Airport, and that because I supposedly did not select “Yes” to complete the purchase at the time, the order was considered incomplete and had been canceled, with the amount refunded to my card. I would like to raise the following complaints: 1. If the purchase was not completed, why was my item delivered to Incheon Airport? 2. If the purchase was not completed, why was my credit card charged? 3. If the purchase was not completed, why did the staff tell me everything was done and that I could leave? 4. I traveled to Korea specifically to buy this item—why would they intentionally make the purchase fail? This incident shows a complete lack of responsibility and disregard for customers. Montblanc, as an international luxury brand, should not handle consumer rights issues so carelessly simply because of an error made by its own staff. As for Shinsegae, being a major retail corporation, it is shocking that they would allow customers to go through such a ridiculous ordeal. If the Montblanc staff mistakenly entered the wrong departure date, that is clearly a training issue. I am merely a customer—why should I bear the consequences of a major company’s mistake? I chose to shop at Shinsegae instead of Lotte or Shilla specifically because I trusted their service quality. Yet I ended up happily making a purchase, failing to receive the item, and then being told that I supposedly did not complete the steps. If I truly had not completed the process, how could the Montblanc staff tell me everything was good and that I could leave? I completed my payment on 2025/11/13 at 6:58 p.m. If there is any dispute, I am certain a corporation of this size would have CCTV footage to verify the facts. I also hope that others visiting Seoul will be cautious with the Montblanc counter at Shinsegae, as both companies have demonstrated extremely poor attitude, terrible service, and a complete lack of responsibility. Their solution seems to be simply issuing a refund and walking away, as if that settles everything. I am extremely disappointed and upset with both Shinsegae and Montblanc, and this incident has severely affected my impression of Korea.
