I used the free desk area for a daily fee of 3,300 yen, and a private room that allows drop-in + web conferencing for 1,430 yen per hour. It's enough for working alone. However, if you need a web conference, it will cost over 5,000 yen including the registration fee for the first use, which I felt was expensive and poor cost performance compared to other coworking spaces around Morioka. Other coworking spaces around Morioka allow web conferencing for around 3,000 yen per day and do not require any additional fees, so to be honest, it leaves a very bad impression. Also, when I used the private room for an hour, the online meeting took too long, and when I was informed that the usage time exceeded 30 minutes, I negotiated to pay the fee for the 30 minutes, but they insisted that "it's the rule, so only the fee for one hour will be allowed." On that day, I was the only user of the free desk area, and there was only one other user of one of the three private rooms, so I was not causing any inconvenience to other users, so I felt that the customer service was very inflexible. I also measured the WiFi speed in the coworking space three times, and each time it was around 10Mbps, which is not fast enough for a web conference, and there were times when delays occurred during meetings. It was a shame, as the interior atmosphere and chairs in the coworking space were all nice.

I had a three-hour wait and some work piled up, so I borrowed a space. It's about a five-minute walk from Morioka Station. It's on the second floor of a building. There seem to be private rooms for web conferences, but there are also many open spaces, and there is plenty of space and a good distance between people. The free Wi-Fi is fast and there are no problems. There is also free drinks such as coffee and tea, and the environment is quiet, so I was able to get a lot of work done. It was my first time using the service, but the concierge was kind and helped me with everything. It was ¥3,300 for over three hours up to one day. I'll use it again if I have the opportunity.

I used the conference room a while ago. It was close to the station and easy to use.

One of the few coworking spaces around Morioka Station. I used it as a drop-in. It can't be helped since there aren't many options, but it's expensive. What's more, you have to rent a private room for web conferences, which costs extra. I regret not working in a cafe and using the station booths at the station for meetings. Morioka is such a great place, so I hope there will be more coworking spaces where you can easily do workation.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • While storage in coworking spaces is generally limited, and mostly reserved for members with dedicated desks or private offices, you should always check with the coworking operator about additional storage solutions. Fill out the form on the right side of the page to reach out to them and learn all about the available options.

  • Open desks may be the ideal choice if you thrive in a collaborative environment and value the opportunity to connect with fellow coworkers. Dedicated desks, on the other hand, provide a designated space with shared community amenities, catering to those who seek a balance between privacy and interaction.

For ultimate focus and private interactions, private offices are best for solo individuals and teams that seek uninterrupted productivity.

Selecting the most suitable workspace for you typically hinges on your work style and preferences, but it can also be determined by the type of work that you do, its duration, and whether you work alone or in a team.

  • Coworking Space Morioka operates during regular business hours, which are listed above. For any requests or requirements outside of these hours, please contact the coworking operator directly.

  • Flexibility is the cornerstone of coworking, so you always have the option to adjust your workspace to match your current needs. With month-to-month memberships, you can effortlessly upgrade, downgrade, or even switch between different coworking plans.

While the standard practice is to change memberships only once the current one ends, Coworking Space Morioka may be able to offer additional options, so it’s best to reach out to their staff directly.

  • Most coworking space amenities are open to all members, regardless of the membership plan. Meeting rooms require prior reservation, and private offices are exclusively available to those with subscription packages. However, the lounge, kitchen, and breakout spaces are open to everyone. Complimentary amenities are also available to all, while ancillary services can be purchased or negotiated individually with Coworking Space Morioka.
